“We had excellent service on Canada Day 2024 with our friendly waitress Pal. She was very helpful and kept checking on our party of 12 ages from 3 to 80, to make sure everyone had what they wanted. She put treats on the Robot and had the children go get their treats off the tray on it, which was a highlight for them. We could tell she enjoys waitressing because she does it to perfection. The food was delicious and plated appetizingly, too!”

The ambiance is so unique and inviting.We went for breakfast and it was an absolute delight! The banana bread was heavenly — the aroma and taste were just perfect. We tried the Egg Benny and the Beef Naan Wrap, and both were incredibly delicious. To top it all off, he even offered us a gut health drink after the meal — such a thoughtful touch!

“Since Covid most Burger Kings have gone way down hill such as Tacoma drive food is crap 90% of the time. Well today I stopped here and had a whopper meal and to my surprise WOW it was the best meal I’ve had at a Burger King anywhere in ns. Fries were hot and crispy the burger was hot and the cold side cold not soggy and dripping crappy everywhere. It was worth the stop. It was so good I had to ask for the manager and give them credit. Hope you folks keep up this quality it’s how you fix your poor rating. Quality Quality!!”

This McDonalds is typically very clean, with plenty of parking. Location isn't ideal for walking, but great when you're driving around the area.”

Service at this location is amazing; the staff are incredibly curious and friendly, a type of service I have to say you don't get at very many places anymore. I hope the staff are treated well by the owner, because I was very impressed at how they spoke and did their job. We got our order quickly even though they were steady. Easy 5/5 stars for me.”

“I visit this place every now and then, and it’s one of the cleanest McDonald’s I’ve ever been to. The cafe is spacious, with many tables and seats to choose from, and you can also sit outside. My sister Daria and like the fact that there’s a strong glass between me and the road, making me feel safer and more comfortable while eating.

I always order from the pad, and my orders have always been correct. The best food here is probably the French fries and caramel ice cream.”

“⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️ !! The Prospect Road location is going to be such a well loved location - so much so that, I don’t think the staff realized how much of the community would flock there. They’re BUSY, and out of ingredients, but the staff there were HUSTLING around, smiling and getting orders out that they could. I expect delays at the beginning. They never expected so much traffic, give them patience folks and expect a mess up in your order possibly or wait until they are fully loaded and in the flow with the area. Otherwise incredible sub (despite picking off a couple things I didn’t ask for), the bread was amazing, still 10/10 would go back, and didn’t even care it was chaotic. Inside though although small, its essentially a novelty convenience store with local goodies. They have a little bakery section with homemade stuff, the moon mist fudge was incredible and a must try! They also had a bunch of “Jones Soda” flavours that I’ve never seen before anywhere around here - even at the big candy stores, (like s’mores and the fallout edition one) which was pretty cool!! They still have ice cream and everything that was at multi scoop - just with a lot more options and delicious fresh options to go. Something for ANYONE at a really reasonable price. Prospect needed this so much - thank you, and good luck with your continued success! 🎉♥️”

“The other people on here are right about the Tonkotsu Ramen. This probably exceeds most ramen-only shops. I don't usually drink the soup but I find myself almost polishing it off. It's light but filled with umami flavor and the grilled pork is amazing too. They didn't take any shortcuts with the onsen egg too, it has the shoyu flavor it's supposed to and just slightly underdone. The atmosphere is chill and homely and service is quick. You can leave in 15-20 minutes or stay for however long. Definitely coming back and trying other stuff on the menu!”

We went for the mantı which delicious. The star of this year's Dine Around menu though is the lamb adana, an incredible mix of textures and flavors. As always service was excellent, personable but not intrusive. Our group of 6 was very well taken care of throughout. Thanks to the staff for an excellent evening.”

By accident they gave me a chocolate pie. Drove all the way back to make the exchange. I was really craving coconut cream pie. Got home AGAIN Opened the box. Took a bite. It’s more than half whip cream. Fake not real and I could not taste any coconut. At all. Except the sprinkle of roasted coconut on the top. Not good at all.. Tossed it out! Not worth the calories. The absolute best coconut cream pie that I have had at a restaurant not a bakery is from The Armview! Homemade and absolutely delish. And worthy of the calories . Sorry guys. Just a big disappointment!”

“We arrived a bit after 4pm. Waited to be seated by a friendly hostess. The service was good all did I have a bit difficulty understanding what was said. The food was very good and fast. The bourbon burger tasted good. The only thing I would like to say is that we found the restaurant very cold. We were seated next to the kitchen and we could feel a cold draft. We told the server and she said she would ask the manager. Of course we didn’t stay long enough to feel the difference so I hope for the other guests it got warmer. We thought the price for one burger with fries was a bit on the high side. But we ate there on a Wednesday night so received the second (same) meal half price.”

“Took my bestie here for happy hour and lunch on Valentine's Day ~2:30pm. The restaurant was not busy. Our server was nice, but largely MIA. Had to flag them down for another drink after our glasses were empty ~15 mins. Again, it wasn't busy. We tried to order a final drink 15 mins before happy hour ended and were told no, because they had more reservations arriving. I'm sure that was true, but we were surrounded by empty tables, and there was time for another drink. I thought the idea behind happy hour was to serve people lots of drinks? Haha. Nice food, nice happy hour menu, but really lackluster service.”

Your booking includes set-up and tear down by the staff, HUGE win. The staff were all so lovely and helpful. And obviously the space is GORGEOUS; very little decorations are even needed in the romantic moody room. We did our ceremony on the roof and it was SO special. Food incredible. We did a standing cocktail dinner and we had more than enough and continue to received compliments over the menu. This is SUCH an awesome spot!”

Sometimes I have to wait cause they're often super busy, but it's ALWAYS worth it! Friendly staff remember my fave drink order (strawberry yuzu lemonade!!), and the fact that I always buy a madeleine for my mom :). A thoughtful, kind crew that produces the best in-house baked goods in Halifax! Esp love the almond and cinnamon rolls, basque cheesecake, and Mum's madeleine (ANY flavour). Give them some LOVE!”

The place here is Caribbean vibes. Your food comes to the table as it's ready. No specific order. Not all main dishes are served at the same time and that's great. If you want to get in and out, this is not the place for you. The plates have just the right amount of food, full of flavor and authenticity.

They have rum flights from all over the Caribbean. They have the most amazing jerk chicken. When the owner comes to see how you enjoyed your meal, you feel like you've found a little piece of the Caribbean right here in Halifax!”

I’ve been to City Shawarma many times, and every single visit has been consistently amazing. The food is always incredibly fresh, flavorful, and made with real love and pride. You can truly taste the tradition in every bite — from their perfectly seasoned shawarma to their crispy falafels, fluffy rice, and fresh, vibrant salads.

The restaurant is spotless, the service is always friendly, and you can tell the team truly cares about what they do. My friend Ahmad Qadoomi, recommended this place to me, and I have to say — what an amazing recommendation! He was absolutely right about how much pride these guys take in their food and how authentic their flavors are.

City Shawarma has easily become my go-to spot in Halifax for authentic Middle Eastern food. Highly recommend!”

As we were celebrating a birthday, a dessert was selected by each of us: a chocolate cheesecake square, a peanut butter square with chocolate layer on top and an apple dessert as big as your head made with puff pastry and sweet apple filling. Verdict? Delicious!”

“This was our second time at Bravado, the first being an impulse drop in for a glass of wine as we were walking by sometime last summer. Both experiences we've had were fantastic. Wonderful service, delicious food. The design and small, intimate vibe give the space such a great feel. It was quiet during our first visit and we got chatting with our server about an upcoming vacation. She had actually lived where we were going and took the time to write out multiple pages of recommendations. We pretty much did everything she suggested so she basically curated our whole trip. I only mention it to underscore the next-level service and personal touch. Our recent visit was for Valentine's Day dinner. It was menu fixe and we opted for the raw scallops option. The scallops were served on a creamy bed that was almost like a whipped feta but our server described it as something else (I can't remember what). This dish also included sliced grapes, which was not something I'd have ever expected to be paired with scallops but so, so good. They have a scallop dish on their standard menu that doesn't seem to be quite what we had but I could be wrong. One of the desserts we got was a chocoloate mousse with flaked salt and drizzled with olive oil. Again, totally unexpected with the olive oil but it very much worked. Overall, both our experiences at Bravado were 10/10 and we will absolutely be back.”
