This Indian-Mexican fusion restaurant is a fantastic combination of two amazing cuisines. The flavors work together surprisingly well, with bold Indian spices blended with familiar Mexican favorites in a really creative way.
Everything we tried was flavorful, fresh, and well prepared. The portions were generous, the presentation was great, and the staff was friendly and welcoming. You can tell there’s a lot of thought and passion behind the food.
If you enjoy Indian food, Mexican food, or just trying something different, I definitely recommend giving this place a try. It’s a unique combination that really works!”

This was my 3rd time and each time just keeps getting better; definitely the bigger the party, the better. We paid $225 for 4 pasta entrees, 3 appetizers, & 2 glasses of wine for a party of 6. I’ve learned to like my pastas al dente after having them here. The meatballs are banging, the wine-pairing was delightful. Our service was attentive and pleasant; the vibe is always vibrant and homey. Highly recommended.”

They are not breaking new ground on unexplored culinary territory or anything, it’s southern, but it’s done well, quite well actually. Everything had loads of flavour, the fried chicken was salty and wonderful. The bbq shrimp was pumped up with creole seasoning. The angel biscuit was a nice and fluffy biscuit, pretty good, but I found myself wishing it was as served with some honey butter or some sweet element. Salty honey butter would be great. Oh and great prices on the food too.

I can’t sit here and look you in the eye and tell you I value parking validation as much as I do delicious waffles, but middle age makes a confounding creature out of all of us and so here I am saying it’s darn close. Anyway, if you’re looking for waffles near old town, or if you’re somewhere else and have a reasonable means of transport to Old Town, or if you’re just sort of having this debate theoretically and have no practical waffle-procuring intentions, Russell’s is your spot.”

“I’ve been coming to this Jack in the Box for probably the last 8 years whenever I need something quick and easy to eat. Honestly, they do their job. 😂 It’s Jack in the Box. You’re probably not coming here expecting some life-changing culinary experience, you’re coming because you want something fast, convenient and reliable.
The food is usually pretty consistent and I’ve never had any major issues with the quality. I will say they occasionally mess up orders, sometimes pretty significantly, so I HIGHLY recommend checking your bag before leaving, especially if you’re going through the drive-thru. I’ve learned that lesson a few times over the years lol.
The employees are usually nice, helpful and friendly, and they do a pretty good job keeping the restaurant and surrounding area clean.
One thing to be aware of is that there are often unhoused people around the property. I’ve occasionally been approached while sitting in the drive-thru, so it’s just something to keep in mind, particularly if you’re coming at night or dining inside.
Overall, it’s a perfectly reliable Jack in the Box. Nothing fancy, nothing particularly amazing, but when I need something quick, I still come back. That probably says enough after 8 years. 😂”

The food was hot, fresh, and delicious, and the customer service was wonderful. This location is right next to the on-ramp, making it incredibly convenient and only about a 4-minute detour from our route.
Even after the drive up to Chantry Flat, our food was still warm, which made for the perfect picnic at the scenic Chantry Flat picnic tables.

Using the cake testing kit was a great experience—it came with a lovely personalized note, and was a great activity to do together while planning our wedding (and provided us multiple evenings’ worth of dessert!) The staff at the store were always friendly to interact with, as well.
Ordering was very easy and straightforward, with prompt and efficient communication. We ended up using one of the example designs on the website, and it came out looking wonderful. The cake had layers of chocolate and red velvet cake with mocha buttercream icing and hazelnuts added between the layers—we highly recommend this combination!
We tasked a family member with fetching us breakfast on the day, and coincidentally they happened to visit Yvonne’s Vegan Kitchen for that as well—so thank you also for some delicious breakfast baked goods!”

The wedge is a delight with caramelized bacon to drool for, or the classic Cobb you can never go wrong with. My personal favorite is the ham n brie sandwich which is an incredible palate pleaser with both sweet and savory in one!

“This is a really neat historic spot, a craftsman home bulit in the 1800's in S. Pasadena repurposed into a restaurant. The vibe is cozy and welcoming. It's like your meeting with friends at someone's home but with professional service, where everyone can just relax and enjoy each other's company. My first visit was with a few girlfriends years ago for their happy hour which runs m-f, from 4-6pm. Since then I've come back for their brunch, and recently dinner. All visits have been memorable and exceptional all around.
They are known for their craft cocktails. My friend had to drink called Latina Medicina and substituted vodka for tequila. It was a citrusy, refreshing drink, beautifuly presented with a large square ice cube, which apparently takes 3 days to make. My husband had the Alien Pool Party cocktail, also refreshing and very fun! We had a lot of laughs with that one. So if you've never been here and are looking for something different, then I recommend you give him a try.”

The food is decent, with the inventive pastries as the highlight. The service this time around was great. I opted for vegetarian options, which was accidentally forgotten by the kitchen. The server brought back extra sandwiches for the minor inconvenience.
You get two pots of tea to share with the table. We even got to take some to go, which I haven't experienced at any other tea services below. These small extra touches are much appreciated.
Definitely plan to come back again, especially given the rotating menu.”

“Been here twice now, first time got two small ones, one matcha and one injeolmi. I love injeolmi so it was really delicious. The matcha too, very rich flavor. The ice itself is so soft and fluffy and tastes delicious. Definitely need the red bean on the side.
The second time we got the bigger melon one ($19.99) with red bean on the side as well. Heard multiple people both times complain about not getting red bean (it doesn’t come with most of them), so remember to order it on the side. The melon one was good, but the smaller ones were better.
Overall one of the best bingsoo places I’ve been to, Korea included. Def best in the US. The texture just hits different.”

I also want to give a special shoutout to the owner. I see her almost every morning with her two little babies, and I truly admire her dedication and work ethic. Running a business is challenging on its own, and doing it while caring for two young children is incredible. She always greets customers with kindness and keeps the quality of her drinks and food consistent.

“This is a really neat historic spot, a craftsman home bulit in the 1800's in S. Pasadena repurposed into a restaurant. The vibe is cozy and welcoming. It's like your meeting with friends at someone's home but with professional service, where everyone can just relax and enjoy each other's company. My first visit was with a few girlfriends years ago for their happy hour which runs m-f, from 4-6pm. Since then I've come back for their brunch, and recently dinner. All visits have been memorable and exceptional all around.
They are known for their craft cocktails. My friend had to drink called Latina Medicina and substituted vodka for tequila. It was a citrusy, refreshing drink, beautifuly presented with a large square ice cube, which apparently takes 3 days to make. My husband had the Alien Pool Party cocktail, also refreshing and very fun! We had a lot of laughs with that one. So if you've never been here and are looking for something different, then I recommend you give him a try.”

We heard good things about Sahara and decided to check it out yesterday; and it exceeded expectations.
I had the beef kebab plate, while my mom and brother had the chicken kebab plate. We loved how they had complimentary snacks (olives, cheese, and cucumber) and also that the plate came with either soup or salad. The meat dishes were so flavorful and honestly the best we've had at any restaurant. They gave a lot of meat too; 8 pieces for each dish. The baba ghanoush was also great.
Last but not least, Mary, our server, was extremely pleasant and attentive. We can't wait to go back!”

We were greeted right away, ordering was simple, and the food was ready in about 10–15 minutes. The chicken was the highlight—flavorful, juicy, and very filling. The sides (sweet potato fries and coleslaw) were just okay; the fries were a bit soggy when we got home and the coleslaw was slightly too tangy for our taste.
Overall, the chicken alone makes it worth a visit. I’d definitely recommend it!”

The service was incredibly warm and welcoming, with that personal, family-run, mom-and-pop feel that’s becoming so hard to find. There was live music when we visited, which made the experience even better, and the restaurant itself is modern, beautiful, and has such a lovely atmosphere.
