“Absolutely loved this place. We will definitely be coming back. We got Citrus Salad, Carne en su Jugo & Carnitas Wow, just Wow!!!!!”
“Every dish was delectable, and great service! We all had a fantastic time there! Definitely will be back, and for celebrations.”
“Love this place. We had Thanksgiving dinner here, with a special menu, so weren't able to sample the regular selection as much. But if crab cakes are part of the regular menu: they are amazing. Service was also top notch. Will gladly come again if we find ourselves in the area in the future.”
“Delicious Zaru Soba set. The dipping broth had a wonderful unique flavor. The tempura on the side was perfectly bartered and not overly oily. Everything was fresh and delicious. Beautiful atmosphere - l can’t wait to try more here.”
“@holysaintsbistro is a gem in the wall. The quality of food coming out of their cozy, small kitchen is superb. Kudos to the chefs behind the line. I had the duck breast and lamb steak, and both were spectacular. The sauce the lamb was served with gave it just the slightest edge over the duck.
The only item that did not impress was the yellowfin tuna appetizer. It was smothered in seasoning that diminished any flavor of the fish and completely overpowered it.
Besides that, my dinner was exquisite.”

“Had to stop by my favorite Italian grubbin in the heart of Old Town Pasadena all the way from Boise. This was my 3rd time and each time just keeps getting better; definitely the bigger the party, the better. We paid $225 for 4 pasta entrees, 3 appetizers, & 2 glasses of wine for a party of 6. I’ve learned to like my pastas al dente after having them here. The meatballs are banging, the wine-pairing was delightful. Our service was attentive and pleasant; the vibe is always vibrant and homey. Highly recommended.”

“If you know, you know.
This little hidden gem serves great Indonesian and Hawaiian comfort food classics. You truly can’t go wrong with anything on the menu, but if it’s your first time, you must try the crispy fried chicken and the Indonesian fried rice.
This place is clearly run by people who care about what they do, and it shows in the quality of the product.
There’s not a lot of space inside, so it’s generally a takeout spot, but don’t let that deter you from trying it.”
“Going local-origin for my next batch of pumpernickel bagels. Choco-latte and Nicaraguan chocolate down here are legit crazy awesome!”
“I was craving a donut one day and when I found this place I was not disappointed! They had tasty gluten free donuts and I got a iced strawberry matcha drink that was delicious as well. The space has an inviting atmosphere and the staff is very helpful and friendly as well.”
“Just amazing...this stuff is so beautiful I almost didn't want to eat it! But I did, haha, and it was great! I love that there is so much variety, from cookies to cakes, and the owner is such a sweet person! I'll definitely keep them in mind for my birthday when it rolls around in August. Keep up the good work!”

“We drive 35 miles at least three times a month to eat here. We love Home State and as a Native Texan, I can attest that their queso is the real deal!!! I just wish they'd open one in Claremont, CA!!! The Don't Mess With Texas is my favorite taco and my husband loves the brisket taco. Everything is amazing though!!!”
“The service, the food, the environment and the kindness and efficiency of our server tonight! 😋👍”
“Amazing smoothies and bowls! Yummmmy! Cute shop with food and gift items as well!”

“Ohhhhhhh so good. I think I met the owner behind the counter, making our lunch. He is making his Armenian grandmother (his tatik) proud. He loves his customers. This is both a catering kitchen and walk-up restaurant with a few tables.
Only three items on the restaurant menu. Got one of everything and split it. You can tell it’s all hand made. The dumplings are flavored perfectly, and maybe a bit of mint on top? On the herbaceous and acidic side, not sweet, but also richer and deeper than a meatball. Can get spicy or regular. Some of the dumplings have crunchy edges. Really unique and tasty. Need 100 more.
The cheesy layered bread was INCREDIBLE. Like. Fly across the country incredible. Flakey, salty, buttery. Melty. Chewy. Crisp. Perfect everywhere.
The salmon sandwich is generous and seasoned well, cooked well, and holds together well. Really really great and I want to go back already.”
“I unfortunately traveled from L.A on July 6th only to find out they were closed. There was a sign but would have appreciated notification online prior to the trip. I didn't call because they don't answer phone calls ?.No worries..still love and will visit again.”
“Focaccia bread was freshly made and warm, and the greens of the salad also very fresh and crisp. The portobello mushroom in the mushroom sandwich was very flavorful. My only reservation is the sun dried tomato spread instead of actual sun dried tomatoes. Very healthy plant based choices.”
“I have been coming to Oji for a while their service is always great, this past time their was a small confusion with my order but they fixed it right away can’t blame them it was a group of six people and it was a busy Friday night. The food overall is very delicious I have never had any complaints they try to stay consistent with their recipes. This sushi spot also has good Happy Hour specials you won’t be disappointed with their sushi, sushi rolls, and drinks I recommend it if you ever have a sushi craving.”

“This kebab restaurant was fantastic! The cozy interior, flavorful food, and excellent service made for a perfect experience. Our server, Alina, was especially outstanding—friendly, attentive, and helpful with recommendations. Highly recommend and will definitely return!”
“The asparagus fries. Crispy & not greasy. You can appreciate the asparagus flavor. We split the Thai spicy salad. It was spicy, but the Thai basil & the peanut dressing were the stars. It didn't need the chicken. The best was the ribeye melt. The meat was cooked perfectly. The sourdough was crusted with parmesan. With a side of horseradish that was perfectly paired for this sandwich.”
“Our experience at The Raymond Restaurant was excellent! Delicious food, excellent service, and wonderful ambiance. We sat in the bar area. It was fun to watch the bartenders work their magic while enjoying our dinner. Highly recommend.”
“Our server was awesome... her recommendations were spot on! the food surpassed our expectations! exceptional...The ambiance was relaxing for a Friday night and perfect for our friend's birthday celebration. thank you for making it so special. Very happy party of 4 enjoyed dinner at Marina!”
“It was wonderful! Historic surroundings (ask about it). The staff provided assistance with the menu and offered valuable suggestions. The service was great and pizza was quickly delivered without compromise. Created with quality ingredients and crust with a nice chew. I highly recommend this one.”
“It was my significant other's birthday. We were at the Music Center. So where else to go for dinner but Malbec in Pasadena? We had been there many times before. We always have been very happy there. We hope to be there many times in the future. Everything for the evening there was excellent. The wait staff, the food, and our table were wonderful. Go! You will be very happy that you did.”
“I had an amazing culinary experience that perfectly satisfied my craving for classic American food. My brisket sandwich was so delicious—I devoured it with full appetite! My husband was equally thrilled with his hamburger and even said it was the best burger he’s ever had, which definitely makes me want to try it next time.
I also loved the warm, inviting atmosphere. The staff were friendly, polite, and always smiling, which made the whole experience even better. I’ll definitely be coming back—even though I live in WeHo and might face traffic, it’s absolutely worth it for such a fantastic dining experience!”

“Theresa was amazing!! She gave the best customer service I have every experienced at a fast food restaurant. She was very friendly and attentive. I asked for tomatoes on my Spicy Chicken Sandwich. When I received my sandwich, I noticed there was no tomatoes on it. I didn’t want to make a fuss, so I ate it as is, no sweat! In the middle of eating the sandwich, Theresa said “there was something wrong with your sandwich huh?” And I said “haha yeah but no worries, I’m enjoying it!” Theresa went above and beyond and brought out complimentary fries and apologized! I have no idea how she knew there was a mistake, but I was blown away by how sweet and attentive she was. Thank you again Theresa! I will definitely be coming here again!”
“The team at this Starbucks just gets it right. Each time we go, our drinks are made perfectly without fail. The management is quick to fix even the appearance of an issue which makes all the difference. The baristas are kind, competent, and look for ways to brighten your day or night since they're open 24 hours a day.”
“Their tacos were stuffed and overflowing with fresh lettuce and meat. The staff looked like they are working so hard in the heat but maintained their friendliess and speed to deliver orders. I ordered via the app and waited a total of 45 seconds when I picked up my order at the drive thru.”
“We order here when our other locations are close or don’t feel like driving to El Monte. When try placing an order in the phone their is no answer. When we get there they are not busy at all. Food is ok it could be better is it was atleast hot. Sometime our burritos are if that room temp.”
“The food is yum the perfect employee’s are very attentive care about their customers very professional they don’t shove your food in a bag and send you on your way. That’s the new thing instead of a tray other restaurants are shoving your food in a to go bag . Very rude I guess think. But not Del ”
“I went at night time. About 3:00 in the morning where there's only one cook and one service person, but they both did an excellent job!
Food was super on point!
I got the banana Foster crepes. So glad they brought their banana syrup back. Even if you're not a fan of bananas you have to give that a try. I'm not and yet I love the banana flavor of their syrup LOL”
“Eclectic but elegant setting with an excellent curated wine offering and one of the finest reserve lists anywhere. The charcuterie sections are also first class. A stylish and sophisticated night out.”
Takeout Restaurants
“Surprised by the best kung pao shrimp I’ve had in my life. Fresh julienned ginger, scallion, garlic; a brown sauce that showed care and layered attention - not some slapped together mass processed food. The young lady serving was kind, precise, and sat to clean green beans in any down time. Reminded me of my family in India, the women’s hands busy all day with preparation,
with the food from the earth.”
“Hidden gem, this place has some of the best pizza I’ve ever had in the area. I tried the Margherita, really great balance of flavors. Not too heavy on the sauce or cheese, and it didn’t give me that heavy, greasy feeling while eating it like a normal pizza does. This tells me they’re using good quality ingredients. Worth driving out to, I’m definitely coming back!”
“Terrific restaurant. Great food in an inviting atmosphere. Exceptional pancakes and coffee. The service was notable for a diner. The seating was comfortable, and the replicas of famous paintings was cool. It is worth mentioning again that the pancakes are head and shoulders above any other that I've tried. I would go out of my way to return to Russell's.”

“Y'all... I can finally eat the greens!!! They make them with turkey instead of pork and I gobbled them things up. Almost went for more!
I got the chicken plate with 2 sides, mac and cheese and the greens. Comes with a slice of whole wheat bread. Chicken was a bit dry but the sauce helped it... until I ran out of the bbq sauce.
I got the hot and regular bbq sauces. The hot had a nice kick, very tangy. Both were sweet and thick. The cups weren't filled up all the way, which would probably be helpful. They were about half full and I had used both cups to dip the chicken, so halfway through eating the chicken, I was out of sauce. This is where the greens came in handy, to dip the chicken in the juices or eat the chicken with the greens to add some moisture.
Mac and cheese was good. Nice creamy cheesr sauce and soft noodles.
I will definitely go back, just know to order a few extra sides of bbq sauce!”
“ordered the Nozawa Trust Me and it did not disappoint! fish was fresh and brought out at a good pace - never went too long between plates, but also didn’t feel rushed. ordered some of the limited selection as well, and they were delicious (uni & eel)! highly recommend this place if you’re a sushi lover”
“I ordered their Hokkaido milk tea with boba at 50% sweetness. It was my first time trying Hokkaido here and the flavor is not my favorite so I would opt for a regular milk tea next time. The boba was chewy and tasted good and the employee working at the time was friendly. I’d come again to try their other drinks if I’m in the area.”
“Mixed reviews esp as of late may reflect a general ennui over the place. If you love Spanish food and chefs, for you Dos Besos will be solid, old fashioned, well executed, and yes, a bit forlorn. The outdoor cafe has potential for joy, but it just doesn't reach past its ropes. My tapas, sangria, and almond cake desert were lovely. As a solo diner, a lady at that, I thought service could have been more cosmopolitan, fresh, and to use an overused word, modern. On one hand I encountered a chef via phone earlier that day who was affable, warm. Then, when I met the head chef in person, he was cold, which is fine, do you. But there was no spark overall, just another semi-nice place to spend money on a Pasadena evening. A staff member was quick to give me his number, flirtatious. Between the hot and cold of the chef, and the staff, I wondered how rare it might be for a woman to come here solo to simply be quiet, people watch, eat well, and enjoy. I could be wrong, but I think the endeavor, the restaurant was a dream for the chef made true by a sugar mama (forgive the expression), and it does have that (sullen) sense of (dull) acceptance. I am glad I went, happy the chef suggested I sit outside, and appreciated the nearby lifeblood and bustle of a restaurant courtyard across the street, and the steady flow of energy into and out of Kings Taco - both visibile from the outdoor courtyard. The sangria, so good, I would love some right now. The almond cake, again, solid, well executed, but I would not say it was full of love.”

“You need to email The Speakeasy to get the password of the day. Jeremy, the manager, has created an amazing cocktail list with creative drinks. His friendly demeanor during the evening set the tone for his staff to provide top notch service and drinks. We will be coming back soon!”
“Running into Majano’s Coffee at my son’s school event felt like a little gift from the universe. His lavender latte is hands-down the best I’ve had—smooth, fragrant, and calming in all the right ways.
I didn’t expect him to remember me (I’m usually the one dashing in between meetings), but he did. That small kindness made my day. Now that my mornings are freer, I look forward to making Majano’s a more regular stop after school drop-off.
Great coffee, kind energy, and a mobile setup that makes the ordinary feel special.”
“Came based off the reviews and wasn’t disappointed!
Solo diner on a Sunday late afternoon and the place was busy! Got a great table and had mixed tempura, Philadelphia roll and coconut roll. All of which was super delicious. I took half home in a to go box for snacks later.
Would highly recommend & be a regular if I was local.”
“Whenever I find myself in Pasadena, I make it a point to stop by. As I step through the front door, the aromas are welcoming, the setting comforting, and with it a slew of memories rushes back. I discovered Jones in the early 2000’s during business trips to Pasadena. Through the years it became a must have visit, even during family trips. Leading the way is Rafael. He’s calm and welcoming and his presence is felt every where. In fact, during a 2021 visit he spotted my family and me, came over to greet us, and fondly recalled my children who he hadn’t seen in close to 8 years. It’s that type of personal attention , and good product, that has kept me coming back. Enjoy!”
“Wish I had taken photos of our food but it wouldn't have done it much justice. Pizza is delicious - every single bite. Had wings and Ceaser Salad. Service is hit and miss. I've dined here several times and two nights ago the bouncer was giving hella odd vibes. Food is worth it though lol.”
“This is a cocktail bar but don't be fooled. My favorite drink is the duck fat hibiki, it's absolutely amazing. It blew every other cocktail out of the water. It might cost more and it might not look the prettiest but trust me it is delicious. They are going to discontinue it due to lack of people ordering but don't just go for the trendy or Instagram worthy drinks, it might just be a regular looking old fashion but it might just be the best old fashion I've ever had.”
“This place was awesome. the fish was extremely good and the service was fast. I'm not sure why it is rated so poorly, but I had a wonderful experience here and I would definitely return if I lived in the area!”

“We really love Arroyo Chophouse. This is our anniversary place each year. We look forward to dressing up and eating some amazing dishes. This year didn't disappoint and the food was delicious. However, we were disappointed on how much the prices increased since the last time we were here. Also, we were a tad disappointed that our waiter put the wrong order in for my husband. So when I got my food, the surf and turf, we had to wait for my husband‘s food to come about 4 to 6 minutes later. Definitely not a big deal and didn't ruin our night, but if you're like me and love your food piping hot it bothered me just a tad because of course I'm gonna wait for my husband to eat dinner. I would've appreciated maybe a complementary cup of coffee with our dessert or something just to acknowledge the slight inconvenience. I don't want anything free that we ordered or anything just a little something would've been nice. All in all it was a great night and I would refer the Arroyo chophouse to a friend.”
“You can never go wrong with Ruth Chris! The Pasadena location is our favorite location to go to. We went for my birthday and our server Kenny was amazing! He was knowledgeable, friendly and a great person all around. Our food was beyond impeccable the drinks were so tasty. Can't wait to go back again, thank you for a memorable experience.”
“This was my second visit to Entre Nous French Bistro, and it absolutely confirmed what I felt the first time—this place is a hidden gem. We came yesterday to celebrate my sister’s birthday, and everything about the evening was simply perfect.
We were a party of five and shared a variety of dishes that showcased the kitchen’s finesse and authenticity. We started with the Daily Pick Oysters, which were impeccably fresh and beautifully presented. The Tartare de Saumon was bright and delicate, and the Escargots de Bourgogne were everything you’d hope for—garlicky, buttery, and so satisfying. The Homemade Duck Pâté was another standout—rich, rustic, and perfectly paired with fresh baguette slices.
For entrées, we had the Filet Mignon, Rack of Lamb, Magret de Canard, French Fries, and the Salmon special of the day. Every single dish was a hit. The meats were expertly cooked to temperature, the sauces were layered and flavorful, and the sides were just as impressive. Even the fries deserve a shoutout—crispy, golden, and addictive.
The service was warm, professional, and incredibly thoughtful. They made sure my sister felt celebrated, and we never once felt rushed. The ambiance is cozy and intimate, with just the right touch of French charm.
Entre Nous continues to impress, and it’s quickly becoming one of my favorite restaurants in town. Whether it’s a special occasion or just a night out, this bistro delivers every time. Already looking forward to visit number three!”

“THE BEST Mediterranean food in LA County! Their filet mignon and chicken have great flavor. I love the hummus and pita chips, which they season themselves. The cauliflower, rice, and pita are also delicious!
Parking: Parking lot behind, enough spaces
Kid-friendliness: Delicious for all ages”
“This place really surprised me! Great food and vibes. I’m a student at PCC and pass it frequently.
Decided to pop in for a night, and maaaan I’ve been thinking about it since! I got the Mahi tacos and the hibiscus margarita! SOOO GOOOOD!!!! And the staff is also super friendly.
They also offer a student discount, which is really awesome for someone like myself!!!
Definitely worth a frequent visit if you’re a student or a local!”
“this place is legit. no fuss patio if you're coming thru with a group, quick takeaway if you're solo. the menu is full of delicious items like birria that you don't always see. shout out to Septum Piercing in the front and Mr. Manager in the back, who took extra good care of me. i tried all three salsas and loved them each for different reasons. Enjoy”
“Republik Coffee is as solid as it gets. It has good food, good coffee, and a good ambiance, which makes it a great hang out spot. The breakfast burrito, an almond danish, and a hazelnut cappuccino. It's not a large breakfast burrito, but I felt like all off the ingredients were good quality. The danish was good, and the cappuccino was solid as well.”
“Always an amazing time here. Been coming to this location for years now. Service is second to none and food is delicious.”
“Its open and they really made sure its safe , service and food perfect . Happy days”
“Very good food, and great cocktails. Wait staff was friendly and accommodating. We enjoyed our experience.”
“The food has to be experienced!! It’s high-end in taste and presentation, and the staff are professional but so fun that you feel like you’re with family. They are attentive to detail and will bend over backwards to make sure you have what you need. Service with a smile; this company is pure joy!”
“I’ve been 3 times in the past 3 weeks. Service and food is fantastic! Highly recommend Smitty’s Grill.”
“The restaurant is elegantly decorated and has a comfortable atmosphere”
“Our server was awesome... her recommendations were spot on! the food surpassed our expectations! exceptional...The ambiance was relaxing for a Friday night and perfect for our friend's birthday celebration. thank you for making it so special. Very happy party of 4 enjoyed dinner at Marina!”

“Great food and a friendly staff. It’s my go to for Mexican food whether I’m dining in or taking out.”
“Holy cow I can't say enough wonderful things about AltaEats. Discovered them through their pandemic-era Roasties (cooked food to take home and eat) and we're still doing it with them now. The potatoes and green beans were so good last night (heaping portions!) that there were none leftover this morning for breakfast. The flank steak was cooked to absolute perfection. Their bread is the perfect complement to everything else. Highly recommended. Lovely people, too.”
“Finally! Some decent Thai food in Pasadena. We had the Crab Fried Rice and Chicken Panang. Both were fabulous!!!
Update: Ordered from here again! Was not disappointed; everything was excellent! Ordered Crab Fried Rice, Chicken Panang, Egg Rolls, and Chicken Gyzos. Best Thai I've had in a long, long time.”
“Top tier service and food. First timer. The service was amazing and the staff were are really friendly with us. It was such a fun, chill vibe with great music and it felt like I was just hanging out. Loved it!”
“4 of us ate at the new Craft at LA Live but I can't find it here so recommending them on the Pasadena location. This was the second night they had been open last Saturday. Service was outstanding. Judy did a terrific job taking care of us and the head chef and owner cam by to welcome us. Food was outstanding too. Great place.”
“We had a delicious dinner at Henry Parsons Project. I had the fried oysters as an appetizer. The portion was so large that I took most of my main dish home as leftovers. My husband had the brussel sprouts and shrimp and grits, while I had the noodles with peanut sauce and okra. We accompanied our meal with a yummy Chardonnay. The chef came out to talk to us before our meal, a nice gesture. The menu is inventive and the ambience was warm and cozy, a perfect spot for a romantic dinner!”

“A family owned restaurant that has been operating for over 100 years, and there is a reason they have been thriving for so long. One of the best Mexican restaurants I have ever been to for sure. The restaurant is huge, and was packed even on a Wednesday evening. Seems like happy hour is very popular here, and they have a buffet lunch as well. Gigantic portions and absolutely delicious, highly recommended!”
“We had a great Mommy outing. The glass partitions made us feel safe.”
“This spot is pretty chill. I got the whiskey sour and it was only $13. The other drinks are good too. I came on a Thursday night and it was moderately filled up with people. They had karaoke and it seemed to be a popular spot in the area. It’s very dark in there which I like, and the ambiance Is good. I’d forsure come back on the weekend.”
“Very good food, and great cocktails. Wait staff was friendly and accommodating. We enjoyed our experience.”
“Well worth the drive from Palm Springs! Excellent food and service!”
“Old-school charm and service, elegant dining, live jazz piano at the bar. Been coming here for years and it’s still a super treat. 👍🏼👍🏼”

“Best Mexican food I've ever had.The Chile Colorado is amazing. As great as the food is, the service is even better. Lourdes is a gem. She is the definition of great service. Friendly, attentive and knows the large menu very well. Look no further for than Amigos Restaurant for great Mexican food.”
“With every new Peruvian restaurant that I go to, I just have to try their Lomo Saltado since that's my barometer for Peruvian cuisines, and Bodegon No 69 very much delivers!
The Lomo Saltado is a classic, must-try staple in Peruvian cuisine. Cooked in a wok with soy sauce (there is a lot of Chinese influence in Peruvian cuisine due to the historical Silver trade between China and Spain within Peru), the best kinds of Lomo Saltado is bursting with flavor. The Beef here is thick and hearty, and the sauce is so delicious. The fries are also nice and crisp, too. There's a reason it's one of my favorite dishes and Bodegon serves it well!
To be fair, Bodegon is a bit pricier than majority of Peruvian restaurants that I've gone to, but it also offers a few items I have not seen elsewhere. Most notably, the Anticuchos or beef heart skewers. Heart is one of those meat choices that can be polarizing because of its tougher chewy texture (it is a muscle after all), but this Anticuchos grilled meat is just tender enough and the flavor is so good, especially with their Rocoto Sauce and Patata Brava (Peruvian-style fries potatoes). Only the corn feels forgettable. It's an adventurous dish that is rewarding to your taste buds!
On the other hand, the Tiradito a La Crema Ceviches is a bit underwhelming. It's thin-sliced Hamachi and the mild Aji Amarillo sauce is just a bit polite and mild-mannered. Maybe the other Ceviches are better here.
Lastly, you can't really have Peruvian cuisine without the proper Peruvian drinks, and I highly suggest the Inka Cola and if you fancy an alcoholic drink, the delicious Pisco Sour, which is the national cocktail consisting of pisco (grape brandy), lime juice, syrup, and egg white, with bitter sprinkled up top. It may be similar to a margarita, but it is just so much tastier!
All in all, Bodegon No 69 has some delicious, albeit pricier, but delicious Peruvian cuisine. Just skip the Traditional Ceviches. The staff is wonderful and so friendly and the interior is very cozy and warm.”
“Had such an amazing experience last nigh ! The food so fresh and delicious prepared to perfection. Everyone was friendly and attentive even the chefs are super cool ! And definitely save room for that cheesecake yummmy ! I'll definitely be back. Thank you all at Colette's 😋😋👌🏼”
“This was my first visit and I wasn't disappointed! The all you can eat option was excellent ?, my cousins and I had four rounds until we had satisfied our appetites! I liked how they updated the restaurant from the previous occupants! I definitely will recommend and be back!”
“The porterhouse was outstanding. Shareable for 2-3 people. Loved the grilled wedge salad as well as the Broccolini side. Highly recommend, especially considering the ambience of the hotel.”
“I've been going to Yard House in Mission Valley for years and this is our first time at this location. They had a fairly busy turn out due to the fact that most diners were there waiting for the taping of America's Got Talent. We ordered 2 things and our food came quickly. The staff is polite, bathrooms are clean and food was good. You can park in the garage and they validate your parking.”
“So, I was not expecting to have a beer while perusing a nee bookstore this weekend, but lo and behold! I desperately needed to charge my dying phone, and couldn’t find an outlet anywhere in the book aisles. So I stumbled across The 1894, and was immediately greeted by the friendly staff. Their happy hour is awesome- a french pilsner for only $6! And the staff went out of their way to accommodate me near an outlet where i can drink and charge my phone. Again, was not expecting this pleasant bar, but will def be back!”
“Loved it here! Easy to make a reservation over the phone. Staff was very attentive, helpful, and kind. I was able to enjoy their premium AYCE meats for free because of their monthly giveaways. My review comes from honesty, not for the sake of it being free. I really liked the brisket and the marinated bulgogi. The brisket was soft, the bulgogi had a great flavor. Side dishes were nice, I especially enjoyed the cucumbers and the fish cakes. I honestly could eat a whole bowl of just the fish cakes. The kimchi was crunchy and flavorful. The spicy pork bibimbap was good, had a generous serving of pork, and is a big enough portion to share between two people. I appreciated the casual atmosphere, there was music, but it was playing softly enough that I didn't have to shout to be heard around our table. Whoever made the playlist has good music taste. There was a decent number of TVs as well playing the NBA playoffs. Overall, I really enjoyed my time here and I recommend it to anyone looking to try it! :) Thank you for the great experience.”
“The food was FABULOUS!!!!! Will definitely 👍 be going back for more!!!!!”
“I’m not sure how I haven’t reviewed this place sooner. It’s our go to sushi spot when we want fast and top tier sushi. I get the Salmon avocado cucumber hand roll every time and it never disappoints. We love the staff so much, they are so kind!!! We hope this place never goes out of business”
“I ordered for delivery. Food was delivered hot.
Dan Modern does not disappoint. Quality was as good as ever. In person or delivery there is no difference in quality or quantity.”
“always great food. today a problem with the fish and chips. over cooked and dry”
“Absolutely love this place. The food was excellent! For appetizers we had the meatballs and bruschetta. For the main dishes we had the vongole, chicken Parmigiano, kids' spaghetti and meatballs and kids' chicken fettuccine Alfredo. For dessert we had the cheesecake. Everything was so delicious! In addition, the staff Ronie and Santos were so kind, professional, friendly and attentive. Thank you for making this experience phenomenal.”

“Terrific staff and innovative cuisine. Small local restaurant who worked hard to keep staff through the pandemic closures with delicious creative take out and who are keeping everyone safe by requiring proof of vaccination for indoor dining. Fresh creative food.”
“Update, two weeks later: So after a slightly rocky start, we went again - the food and wine were excellent as before, but the service really really improved since the last time. I can highly recommend this place to go for a good time. If you are with friends, make sure you try "family style" - order loads of munchies - the four of us shared the charcuterie board (the salami was among the best I ever had), the flatbreads, the baked brie - and a sample plate of their delicious oils - so so so good - and given the superb quality, reasonably priced. Not to forget: did you ever try vanilla ice cream with olive oil - you should ;-) So thankful they understood and appreciated my earlier review. I will surely go again soon. Previous review: Oh, what a wonderful place - and an amazing concept. My wife and I took two friends yesterday. We were seated at a table for two, with the promise to be relocated to the table next to us as patrons were close to getting their check. Never happened, no problem.I wanted to order a bottle of wine. The service recommended tasting their canned wines - 4 different ones for $49. Canned wine? I come from Germany, from Koblenz, where the rivers Rhine and Mosel meet. Canned wine? Seriously? Still, why not try something new?So the four of us received four balloon glasses with the four wines. Wine tasting? Share every glass physically with four people in times of Corona? They must be kidding. I would have expected to get four cans - and, in all honesty, four small glasses for each of us. Sure: it ain't the Ritz - a personal glass for each of us. But sure: this ain't "The Ritz," so we shared. We are really good friends, and we did have a good time. The wine was OK - which sounds as if something was wrong - it wasn't. It was OK - nice experience, but I would personally not order again - while it may be perfectly fine for you, the reader (by the way, I appreciate you reading this ;-)Then: the food. As with the wine, we wanted to share. We started with the baked brie, which was really really good, and the burrata flatbread, which came soaked, and I really mean soaked, in Oil. Sadly, it did not come with silverware. We asked three times but never got it. Then, we asked if we could have at least some napkins. We got two. We were here to share, weren't we ;-)I asked for the check. The printer had issues. Happens. We were not in a rush. Service offered a sip of wine while we had to wait. Sure, a nice gesture. Sadly, the wine never came. After just under half an hour, we got some sort of check - still issues with the printer. We were charged $61 for the wines - they were charged separately and not, as per the menu and recommendation, as the $49 offer. $12 was refunded. Receipt: sorry, the printer.I really wanted to love the place, and as we enjoyed the company of our dear friends in a nice atmosphere, loved the brie, and drank the wine, I did not want to spoil the evening by arguing about the service, which really "has potential."It would have been easy to make this a five-star recommendation, as the location, atmosphere and general concept scream fabulous. I would possibly go again. At the moment, I feel sorry for the place.”
“Very good good food and nice service We really enjoyed dinner 🙏”
“I’ve been cutting out refined sugar and it’s been difficult but I came across this place and I was able to have a wonderful chocolate shake with almond milk and cocoa, yes it had sugar but pure cane sugar. It was a great alternative and it taste so yummy! I was also able to add toppings, healthy toppings, strawberries, blueberries, etc. so good! Can’t wait to go back❤️”
“Our waitress Genevieve was extremely nice and knowledgeable!! Great ambiance! Food n drinks! Definitely coming back !”
“First time here excellent food excellent service very nice place for sure we will be back, steak was cook perfectly
Parking: Parking behind restaurant”
“Unassuming from the outside, but a truly great Japanese restaurant. Great quality on the seafood. The basic chirashi was very good with a fantastic variety of sashimi. I will definitely go for the deluxe next time! Definitely a must order is the Matsuri Gozen. It’s a beautifully organized set meal and the flavors are spot on.”
“Cool place to hang in Old Town Pasadena. Live music and a chill atmosphere.”
“I feel like this place would be a lot more popular if it was in a better location. A really nice restaurant offering a large selection of Japanese and Thai food. I only tried the sushi omakase and it was quite good. Good quality and presentation, with all sorts of different fish. Reasonably priced too, great spot for families and groups.”
“I recommend for my friends and partners, a suitable place....nice meal🥰”
“It’s been years since I’ve visited and the food is still exquisite. So flavorful.
I visit Homage for gifts and treats then the record shop and goldbug nextdoor before I have a spectacular dinner here. Love this restaurant and the service.
Highly recommend.

“what i like about Cabreras 1st the awesome service. 2nd the best mexican food that is made with love. and what makes so good is the great music they have it's like eating at home which makes feel like your with family. keep up the great family feeling. oh and when I asked for something that's not on the menu you make it just like eating at home..”
“The employees here look like they love working here and are very kind to everyone. Definitely feels like you’re dining in someone’s house by the delicious flavors and welcoming feel of the establishment. This is not a hole in the wall time of place but it’s typically pretty empty. I have tried over four different menu items including the Tom Yum Rice with shrimp, Wonton soup, Crispy Deep Fried Pork Belly with Sweet Peppers (Pad Kra Pao - hopefully I spelled that right), and Pad See Ew to name a some. I LOOVVVEEEE all of their food so far. If I remember the waitress name who typically helps my guests and myself I will come back and edit. Don’t miss out on this amazing place that I can’t compliment enough 💐”

“Rodney's ribs are the Truth. I moved to Pasadena recently. I've had Q at Dreamland in Alabama, 12 Bones in North Carolina, Franklin's in Austin, Corky's in Memphis and Hecky's in Chicago, and this is some of the most righteously smoked meat I've ever had. Thank you, Rodney.”
“My significant other and I treated ourselves to 90 minutes of normal at The George and strongly urge you to do the same! Food, truffle fries, pork cop and salmon all delicious! Angela was our server and she was attentive and charming! The atmosphere was a comforting refuge. So take a break and support The George and have a wonderful meal with family and friends!”
“My first impression was the cleanliness and friendly staff. Secondly being my first time all my questions were met with great care to detail. And lastly the freshness and delicious food was phenomenal and priced very well. I am now a Kokoroll customer for life. Thank you! Ps. I only wish I’d found you sooner 😊 HIGHLY RECOMMEND AAA+”
“EXCELLENT food! Be warned: because we missed it- this is a market that does TAKE OUT ONLY! So, order ahead and pick up. I had the Jerk Chicken lunch- freaking FANTASTIC! My partner got a fish plate which was excellent as well. Staff nice, food good, order ahead!”

“Love it, first time taking my wife. First time for me in five years; food was amazing! Love the patio seating, it was a perfect night. Despite the concert at the Rose Bowl, service was on point. Clifton was great, attentive, friendly and very knowledgeable. My steak was cooked to perfection; both sauces rock but my favorite was the peppercorn. We will be back”
“Henry the bartender is one of the best ! His drinks are better then any I’ve had and his presence is what makes your bar area so inviting. I’ve come out there many times and you never disappoint! You have a forever customer! Oh did I mention the food is superb and taste fresh and is perfectly portioned!”
“Going local-origin for my next batch of pumpernickel bagels. Choco-latte and Nicaraguan chocolate down here are legit crazy awesome!”
“Unusually pleasant tiny coffeeshop in a somewhat magical setting- - if it’s an odd time on a weekday, I am guessing. I came on a weekday afternoon and waited quite a while in line behind less than a dozen people for at least twenty minutes. It seemed excessive, to be honest- but maybe people were on break. The staff seemed really pleasant otherwise, and were also working hard - maybe something had malfunctioned and they had slowed down.
I noticed a patron sipping from an actual ceramic cup-always nicer than paper- andI ordered the gui hua latte. Both the flavor and the physical presentation of the drink were beautiful.”
“Good quality always. I have been there a few times back in 2023 and 2024. The tastes and quality never changed. Very nice service and environment. Seems like that could serve up to party of 8. But may need to wait during peak hours. Very convenient for a workday lunch if you work nearby.”
“Food was absolutely delicious! Jonathan was an exceptional - guided us through the menu.”
