“Chongqing Lao Zao is a restaurant where you go not only for the delicious food but for the entire experience. You walk through the entrance and it is like stepping into a whole new universe that takes place in ancient China. The staff is friendly and seating is comfortable. So many food options and a beautiful sauce bar as well. Definitely recommend the dual pot. Beware of the amount of chilis in their spicy broth. Mild is shockingly spicy but we ended up separating the chili peppers from the broth after a bit and got the tomato broth to balance it out. A small thing but we also really enjoyed the little snacks they brought out in the beginning. Watermelon seeds and I think they were broad beans? Seasoned really well. Highly suggest either grabbing a reservation or joining the waitlist early here.

Regarding the food:

Grilled Spanish Octopus: Highly recommended. The potato pave is delicious, and the octopus is tender with a perfect charred exterior.

Short Rib with Bone Marrow: The meat is very tender and falls apart at the touch of a fork, though I wish the portion of bone marrow was a bit larger.

King Salmon: Quite tender.

Burrata Cheese: Standard/average.

Caramel Flan: Delicious and beautifully presented.

Overall, it is a great spot for a nice dinner.”

“I was there at Jian Nan Syosset, Long Island. Everything went great!! But, those took the orders needed to be more educated to understand each dishes. We were a fairly larger group than standard party size. Some dished were small and some dim sum served with small quantities, like 3 or 4. Those who order for the large group, should give suggestion to order multiple orders for the same dish. So, each one in the group can have at least one.”

I occasionally travel for work to Pune, Maharastra so, I definitely crave good Indian whenever I can find it. My boss knew of this spot (don’t ask me how).

It’s unassuming (in the basement of a temple) and the prices are accordingly quite humble (amazing given the location).

We started with vadas that came with unique, not that spicy green chutney and a pretty spicy sambar.

Then, on to dosas. I’m usually a masala dosa guy, but tried a Rava Dosa for the for the first. I think I may have a new favorite. It’s takes a bit longer, but the semolina base makes a really nice texture.

Everything was spicy and warm - as good as the food I love in India.

Should you find yourself here and you enjoy good Indian food, you should definitely stop in.”

“Another hot pot place to try that has seasonal crawfish that is so fresh, you won’t regret ordering it. Crawfish are giant with fresh garlic flavoring. The soup base is out of this world and is a must try if you are in flushing. We got the tomato and pork bone and I’m telling you, some soup makes your mouth dry because of the high msg content but this one doesn’t. Everything was fresh and the staff were top notch. I know there a lot of hot pot in flushing and there are so many good ones out there but none can say they serve fresh crawfish and 12% off high school ID for students as a promotion. I will be honest, if it wasn’t for the crawfish and the discount, it would be harder to separate as there are many good hotpot spot but for now, this would be my go to spot until the promo is over.”

“This is the best place ive been to and the ordering is great!!. The workers there are so nice and friendly and if something goes wrong they will try to make it right just got you. And the place is clean they always clean the place they mop and brush the floor, clean the windows. The supplies are usually restocked . If they have it in the back or somewhere they will check and no if there its not because no one wants it its because they care about you and what we need and want because I go there almost everyday they have orders to restock everything AT LEAST 2-3 ( key word: AT LEAST). But place is amazing realy I recommend”

“Best place to buy an empanada if you are in a hurry. The beef, chicken, and cheese empanadas are very good. The female workers that work there are amazing. $2.50 each for an empanada is still pretty decent. You won’t find empanadas anywhere priced at $2.50 because in other locations, they are priced at $3.00. But definitely come visit this place.”

Im crazy of sashimi.
It is very impossible to find raw live fish in other states.
But, Only N.Y and L.A. does have this because they have so enough sashimi restaurants with high demand that they could import raw fishes with acceptable Transportation costs from korea by airplanes.
This is economies of scale.
Anyway,
Sashimi was excellent for me.
Service and Atmosphere doesn't matter to me.
I was so happy to enjoy live fish.
I recommend you to visit if you like to live seafood.”

This was my first time trying Korean BBQ, and **Cast Iron Pot** did not disappoint!

The food was absolutely great, and the menu offers a ton of variety, so there is truly something for everyone to enjoy.
We went with a party of four on a Friday night and were thrilled to be seated with no wait at all. The service was good, attentive, and kept everything moving smoothly.

We had an amazing time and will definitely be coming back for more. Highly recommend checking this place out!”

My son's big day today and I took a trip here to pick up my custom strawberry cake layered with their famous lightly sweetened freshly whipped cakes. When you step inside It's as if you step back in time. My mom first took me here when I was 11 or 12 and this place still look the same. The bakery captures a lot of customers from the surrounding businesses such as the hospital. It's great to see a flow a diverse crowd visiting this Gem. I also picked up half dozen curry beef pastry and their chicken rolls. I took a bite and taste just like my first time eating them in the 1990s when I was a little boy. When I want a good delicious healthier cake I come to Yeh's.”

“Amazing BBQ korean restaurant in this sleepy area of Queens on a quiet street in flushing The highlights were the Banchan plates and the Amazing BBQ w Charcoal and Marinated Galbi was outstanding, with the Jae Chae on point too , we really enjoyed our waitress who pointed us in the right direction with her suggestion and quick refills on Salad leaves and side dishes.
The small is tiny so get here early we show up at 5.30 and left at 7 pm and the place was packed.
Great portions sizes and perfect side dishes like flurry steamed eggs and BBQ Corn and veggies Kimchi Soup.
The Charcoal cooks the meat to a perfect crust and is so Good.
We will definitely be back and love the variety from this little restaurant.

Last time we spoke with the only male server/staff (our favorite and always provides the best service) and learned that it was stewed for (?I think he said) 8+ hrs or something along those lines. They also have the best side dishes, as my boyfriend loves their cabbage kimchi. However, we wouldn’t recommend ordering the galbi as it is relatively tough and tastes like it was cooked in a pan rather than a grill. We tried some of their other soup dishes but weren’t too big a fan of those either. Usually the place is pretty cozy but sometimes they do host large parties, where it can get pretty rowdy. Definitely a hidden gem we visit pretty frequently.”

“I got the mango/matcha soft serve! Needless to say, this was one of the most delicious matcha desserts I have had in a long time! I'm a matcha enthusiast and I have been to Maiko before but never had their soft serve. This was exactly what I needed to satisfy my sweet tooth! The flavor is sweet enough and the matcha really come through - I can compare the flavor profile to Chigi no shiro by Marukyu Koyamaen. Overall, this was a perfect dessert for an extreamly warm day in NYC”

“After a long trip around the UK, the first thing I was craving was a classic NYC slice, and Amore Pizzeria delivered exactly that. There's a reason they've been around for over 50 years!
The pizza is everything great New York pizza should be—thin, crispy (with that perfect crack in the crust that true NYC pizza lovers know and appreciate), perfectly foldable, and topped with quality mozz.

The pizza alone is worth the visit, but the service made the experience even better. The woman working there (who I suspect may be the owner) was incredibly welcoming and friendly. She took the time to chat with us and even helped move our suitcases inside to a safe place while we ate our pie.

Fantastic NYC pizza, and great people. I highly recommend Amore Pizzeria to anyone looking for an authentic New York slice.

I went there when I was feeling under the weather and wanted something warm so I paid $20 for a bowl and thought it was expensive because near my house, a bowl of pho costs $14 at max with extras. Then the bowl came and the portion changed my first impression. Not bad at all for a $20 bowl, very big portion. The moment the soup entered my mouth, I realized why they charged $20 for a bowl. So rich in flavor and tastes like a bowl filled with nutrients. The beef slices, etc etc, the ingredients compliment each other. I knew it was worth it when I finished the bowl.

Verdict: Totally worth it and will come again.”

I'm a matcha enthusiast and I have been to Maiko before but never had their soft serve. This was exactly what I needed to satisfy my sweet tooth! The flavor is sweet enough and the matcha really come through - I can compare the flavor profile to Chigi no shiro by Marukyu Koyamaen. Overall, this was a perfect dessert for an extreamly warm day in NYC”

“Stopped for a cocktail after a day of museums and dumplings and walking, they were perfect. I loved my mule and the milk punch was great too. We got to try a cucumber cocktail as well, so good. Liz was behind the bar, very attentive and helpful and made a solid cocktail! We’ll have to come back to try the food. Get the mule!”

“Came here once and I’m coming here after every work out! Evelicious was suggested by a friend who told me they sell good protein shakes, so I decided to try it out and it’s actually really good. The employee who worked there named Anna was super friendly, knowledgeable and genuinely cared about giving great service, not rushed at all. From the start they explained the menu and made recommendations which was really helpful considering it was my first time ordering. I’ll definitely be showing up more for those shakes :)”

“This is such a cool spot for a get together with friends in Ridgewood. We went after dinner from Rolos and our bartender provided great explanations and recommendations for our drinks. The drinks were made well, but most importantly this bar has a very cool ambiance, and very much similar to a lounge experience.

I would definitely recommend this spot as a stopover from dinner whether you're out with a small group or on a date.”
