The service was impeccable. Our waiter Charlie was amazing and recommended the best wine pairings but the food… ah the food…. Let’s just say if I ever have a “last meal” I would want it to be this. I got the champagne Brie soup, the Filet Rossini and flourless chocolate cake. Each bite was perfection. Seriously, one of the best meals of my life. Hope it doesn’t take another 28 years to return. “I was at Dennys 8.7.24 at 7 to 8 something. The service was great, the food was excellent, and the dining room was clean. The problem came when I was ready to check out. We had a coupon that states if I spend $30, you can get $10 off. In regard to the coupon, it allowed me to be able give the $10 that I would save to the server. When I went to check out the coupon would NOT take. (Keep in mind, I just got this coupon on Sunday when I left Dennys.) She called a manager, and the manager stated that she was NOT able to use my coupon because it was expired. I asked could she honor the coupon because I just got the coupon on Sunday. She stated, NO. Then she said that we had coupons on our ticket already. We had 3 meals, and 2 kid's meals and kids eat free after 4 p.m. I explained that is not what the coupon stated. Then she looked at the other coupons, which was the same coupons. She proceeds to remove the box and said that they were all expired and kept my coupon as well. I had to pay regular price $35 to pay the bill. was not happy about that at all. Also, a couple behind me had the same exact problem. I waited around to make sure she didn't honor their coupon, and she didn't. Now we all left out disappointed because we spent more to honor the coupon, and it wasn't valid. :(”

“What an absolutely fantastic Italian-American restaurant. I was pleasantly surprised by how great the pasta was.

Started with the fried calamari and whipped ricotta with garlic bread. The whipped ricotta is an absolute must order and I’ll definitely be getting that again. The calamari was good, but pretty standard fried calamari, although I loved the addition of the chilis.

The portions are absolutely massive, so it’s very easy to share dishes. I got the spaghetti and meatballs and they were an absolute delight. The meatballs were juicy, seasoned perfectly, and had a great texture. You can tell they’re freshly made and use quality meat. Others at my table got the Chicken Parm Vodka and Tortellini Vodka, and both were rich, creamy, and delicious. The Chicken Parm portion was especially huge.

The food here is a 10/10 and I’ll be telling everyone to come here for some great Italian food.

The restaurant itself is charming. The booths are huge and I loved all the photos and paintings on the walls. The Kingdom of Italy flag caught my eye too. Once the sun went down, the atmosphere really started to come alive.

There are a few things I think Barsotti’s could improve on. The bussers seemed a little underdressed for this type of restaurant, and some of their shirts were stained. We were also celebrating a birthday and specifically mentioned it in the reservation, so I was hoping for some acknowledgment. Our waiter was very nice and respectful, but I would have liked a little more interaction and explanation of the menu.

Overall, the positives definitely outweigh the negatives. I’ll be coming back and would recommend Barsotti’s to others.”

“Nonna! My love. There was nothing bad here, nothing mid, all superb!! How do I begin to explain how delicious everything was?! Their house bread was salted, soft and immediately made us think of how delicious the pizza dough and crust would be. And of course that was the case. We went with the spicy sausage pizza and it was so good I nearly licked the pizza tray but I was with three other people and was not trying to look crazy. Their squash carpaccio was really good for squash. For pastas we tried Lasagnette al Forno, Tonnarelli Cacio e Pepe, and Farfalle Marrone. I’m a picky eater but the mushroom one was the best in my opinion, tonnarelli next and then the lasagna. I’m not a huge tomato sauce person but lasagna was tasty. Now the dessert!! Their pistachio semifreddo was the best possible was to end the night. There was not a flaw in that dessert. I’d go back just for that. Their strawberry shortcake was good and then lemon raspberry last. I’m not a huge tart person but not bad on the lemon raspberry.

On this visit, some of the meat selections were not as good, they were not well seasoned and had more fat than usual, and medium rare was not available for beef cuts. I love filet but it had no flavor. The spicy picanha was too spicy. The service was also mediocre this time even though the restaurant was not full; they did not bring our drink order until I asked a second time. The meat service was good, they came around often though but I had to wait until the end of my meal to get a lamb chop because they were not ready. They did ask if there was a certain cut of meat we wanted. It may just have been an "off" day. We recently visited a Brazilian restaurant in Austin and it is better, so maybe our expectations have changed.”

Timing of service could not have been more professional by our server, Shelbi. Drinks, appetizers were the best. I missed the whole story but the oysters from Maine are exclusive to TruLucks and superb. The calamari was crisp and sauce was the best. Bread serve was presented like I've never seen. Cocktails and wine were enjoyed by all and with no rush, and presentation was top notch. All five of us ordered the 3 course menu and selections were numerous. Prime rib was the winner for me. Filet and the salmon were other choices at the table and everyone loved them. I have to add, TruLucks served me the best wedge salad I have ever had! Big blue cheese crumbles and bacon was the best. I will go back for just that and the other best in world carrot cake! Bottom line, it was a special occasion and there really was no way it could have been more impressive. My father in law enjoyed it so much he insisted on picking up the tab. And that speaks volumes. Thank TruLucks. We will visit you in Plano next.”

“Had such a fun dining experience. The second you walk in it’s almost as though you’re transported straight to Japan. They open the doors and allow you some time to settle in and order some wine prior to the experience starting.

Each course is so well thought out and truly delish. Although this is a yakitori spot, I felt as thought the fish truly shined, but I will say that the chicken heart is probably much better than you’re anticipating it being.

The service is very attentive as everything is explained to you upon it being sat down in front of you, including how you should eat it.

“Came here the first time on a Saturday afternoon for a friends birthday dinner. We were upstairs near the bar. The menu by the bar is very limited which was disappointing. I ordered the ricotta dip to share, which was ok, but not enough for dinner, so I was going to order something else, but the waitress never came back. She was very nice but seemed overwhelmed. I will say the 2 drinks I had were great and the atmosphere was fun. We had a great time but I left hungry. My friend had a great time and that’s all that matters. I would like to come back and actually have a chance to eat from the dinner menu.”
