“Such a cute spot with very friendly staff and AMAZING food! I love that it’s family owned them having the Safina family as the executive chef was a very cute touch lol. Family photos on the wall when you walk in is also such a cute detail.
We got the bruschetta (with Brussels sprouts which was a fun seasonal spin), pistachio pasta which was so unexpected and delicious, and the shrimp diavolo pasta which is a classic but was done very well and used the top tier bucatini.
As an Italian who lives in Chicago I know good Italian food and this is truly amazing. Definitely worth a visit, we’ll definitely be coming back next time we’re in town!”

Megawich is a light hearted & fun concept with silly names, but their sandwiches are no joke!! The balanced flavor & textures absolutely astonished my taste buds! Bold spices & seasoning... perfectly executed meat/cheese/sauce ratio, all on a local Sciortino's fresh baked Italian bread! ... “I've been curious about this fresh food vending machine for a while now. I was in the airport where everything is more expensive and with smaller portions. I follow a plant based diet and have limited options at this airport. The screen told me to use the app to save money so I did. The app was extremely easy! I could see all the options with pictures and full descriptions like a menu. I ordered a salad along with a wrap because they looked small. I was wrong the salad was large! On the side of the machine you can take a bowl, napkins, and eating utensils. The screen is user friendly but I enjoyed the details in the app. In the end I got a coupon from using the app and found a discount code online that I also added to my order as well. Once i completed my purchase the app gave me a code that I put in on the vending machine and I then received my order. The food was extremely fresh my salad was cold and crisp! I was surprised at how much food was in the salad container. Each component was fresh and delicious. I was not expecting all this at an airport or from a vending machine. I will definitely seek out this vending machine in the future unfortunately they are not in my current area.

Usually there are small mistakes, nothing major, sometimes they forget napkins etc. Sometimes though I have to double check because they might forget an item. Usually it's handled right away and very professionally. Today a young man. I didn't catch his name. He was a slim Puerto Rican gentleman. He came to the window and asked me for my order number. He went back inside, looked at the order receipt, bagged all my items and made sure to give everything correctly including napkins! I had to write a review because I believe it deserves recognition as when I go other times, things don't run as smooth. I was so happy and I enjoyed my chicken sandwich! Amazing service! Also the food was really fresh! Really all staff deserve a praise. However the one that attended me was the gentleman I mentioned. 10/10”

The food was also a little bit bland for my taste. It seems like the selection was a little lacking. Other than that the place was located in a very nice area. I noticed negative reviews complaining there was dogs, well no crap it’s the business model and there’s an actual picture of a dog on the door and logo. ANYWAYS price is a little steep but when I got my food holy cow it was delicious. And I love that they have dog friendly menu items available as well. The place is super clean for the amount of guests and animals that come through. Loved that the food pickup and service area is separate from dining. The only downfall was I did pay for pickles and there wasn’t any but I didn’t even notice it until I devoured the first half of my food. No big deal. I ordered the steak sandwich and strawberry limeade which I also love is made by hand with fresh fruit. My dog is now sleeping in a food coma as am I.”

A very pleasing experience from start to finish! 🙌🏽 I drove in from Illinois to meet up with family and had no idea where to eat, park, or even use the restroom. After finding a paid parking garage and exploring the area (which is definitely up-and-coming and full of potential), I turned a corner and spotted La Chinampa.
A quick Google search showed strong ratings, so I took a chance—and I’m so glad I did!
I walked in hoping for three things: a clean restroom, quick service, and good food.
They had all three—and more. ✅✅✅
The tacos were absolutely delicious, and the space was cozy—the perfect little spot to relax after a 2.5-hour drive while waiting on my family. What really stood out was the warm and friendly energy of the owner. You can feel the heart in this place.
La Chinampa took care of me, and I’ll definitely be back next time I’m in town. 💯🌮❤️

If you’re looking for good paella in Milwaukee - look no further. The chorizo was amazing and had a great spice.
The menu is easy to understand - there is either an 8 course menu or you can paella (which comes with an appetizer, dessert, and cava, sparkling wine). Because it’s a small operation, you pretty much pick from a few options.
When we walked in, we were greeted by Chef, who is a wonderful cook but also so welcoming and kind. The service was very personal, which added to the dining experience.
It’s hard to pick if I preferred the appetizer, the Valenciana paella, the flan, or the bread pudding. They were all delicious! I will say, the flan was unique in a way that I really enjoyed.
Overall, I’m looking forward to returning here on a cold winter night or a long summer evening.”

While there weren’t any open tables when we arrived, we had no problem ordering beers and cheese curds from the bar and sitting at the chairs overlooking the river.

One of the hosts, who without hesitation set us up with a table that accommodated the kids and gave us that fine dining experience, he was just wonderful the entire night, like we were old friends and he was happy to see us. Our waitress was sweet as can be, really knew the menu and also treated us like we were her regulars. Then another man whose name I didn't get was offering to take family photos and even took my nephew back to watch his pizza get made. “We were excited to try this place out for the first time after hearing so many good things. Let me tell you, it far exceeded our expectations! If you're looking for your typical wood-fired pizza, you won't find it here. We ordered a classic cheese and also the Fernwood. The pizzas were both on the thinner side, and were perfectly cooked in the wood-fired oven. The crust wasn't like any other pizza crust we have ever had before! It was buttery and had a great crispness to it. The pizza sauce is more on the chunky side and it was delicious! The Fernwood is definitely unique and worth the price (it is the most expensive pizza that they have). My partner and I really enjoyed the pizzas and can't wait to come back and try other items. Aside from pizzas, they have a nice selection of other food items, both for meat lovers and also vegetarians. If my memory serves me correct, they also have vegan and gluten free options as well.
The service that we received was really friendly, the atmosphere had a chill vibe, the bathrooms were really fun lol (you'll have to see for yourself to know what I mean) and there were so many plants! We are so happy to have this as a food option when visiting Bay View.”
