“I did not have food, so I can't really say how many stars that deserves. My husband brought me out for a much needed night out away from work, school and baby. We met Marlee at the bar and she greeted us with a warm smile and I immediately felt welcome. From there on she was attentive, professional and very friendly. I especially enjoyed how she helped me with my axe throwing skills. I may have a new interest in axe throwing as a hobby ;)

“This was our 4th time at 5 O'clock -- if you are looking for a great steak and an authentic Wisconsin supper-club, this is the place. Relish trays, wild, exuberant decor, and lots of energy. We had petit filets and a bone-in ribeye and they were all cooked perfectly and served in an au jus sauce. Very nice sear on the steaks. We also ordered onion rings and asparagus as sides -- very healthy portions for both and they were cooked nicely and arrived hot. Our appetizer was something I have never had or seen before "bacon sticks" -- and they were great tho I felt like my chance of a heart attack went up a few points while I was eating them. Basically, they were like long strips of crispy pork belly; super salty and smoky.”

The queso was flavorful, melty, and delicious paired with the lovely bread, and assortment of fruits. The empanadas were the obvious stars of the show - soft billowy outer shells that had a nice bite, filled with delicious stuffings. Dessert was great as well, opting for that sinful cookie bar with ice cream.”

“I've been curious about this fresh food vending machine for a while now. I was in the airport where everything is more expensive and with smaller portions. I follow a plant based diet and have limited options at this airport. The screen told me to use the app to save money so I did. The app was extremely easy! I could see all the options with pictures and full descriptions like a menu. I ordered a salad along with a wrap because they looked small. I was wrong the salad was large! On the side of the machine you can take a bowl, napkins, and eating utensils. The screen is user friendly but I enjoyed the details in the app. In the end I got a coupon from using the app and found a discount code online that I also added to my order as well. Once i completed my purchase the app gave me a code that I put in on the vending machine and I then received my order. The food was extremely fresh my salad was cold and crisp! I was surprised at how much food was in the salad container. Each component was fresh and delicious. I was not expecting all this at an airport or from a vending machine. I will definitely seek out this vending machine in the future unfortunately they are not in my current area.

The tea was my favorite raspberry ice tea which was a pleasant surprise. Our server was great. Considering we were in Milwaukee for a family funeral, Denny's was pleasant.”

“Leon's has been on South 27th Street since 1942 and they remodeled in the early 1950s into the neon-lit, walk-up drive-in format that still exists today, meaning the building you're standing in front of has looked more or less like this since before most of your relatives were born. There's no dining room. You walk up to the window, you order, you eat in the parking lot or on the hood of your car, and on a warm Milwaukee evening you are surrounded by a full cross-section of the city doing the exact same thing. It's one of those places that functions as a kind of social institution without anyone having to try.
The custard is made fresh daily with cream and eggs and it shows. The texture is dense and silky in a way that regular ice cream cannot match, which is something food writers have been saying about Leon's for decades and which is still true when you actually eat it. We had the Butter Pecan, which is one of three flavors always on rotation alongside vanilla and chocolate, and it has this nutty sweetness that holds up all the way to the bottom of the cone. The Super Sundae Special is the move if you're not sure what to order: vanilla custard, hot fudge, pecans, and a genuinely generous pile of cherries that they do not scrimp on.
The Hot Fudge Sundae is a separate thing from the Special and equally good, with a fudge that runs thick and warm and doesn't slide off into the cup immediately. We also had a chocolate shake just to see, and it was the kind of chocolate shake that makes you realize you've been settling for lesser versions of the thing for most of your life.”

It’s always civilized in there, everyone keeping their voices to a mellow decibel and the greenery all over in the living walls is over the top beautiful. In the summertime it’s gorgeous outside. Michael and his staff are always hospitable and polite and you feel like they’re family taking care of you. It’s a terrific little gem tucked away in a sweet spot. Listen — we will dine at 4:37 pm if that’s what it takes. Book it. First of all, the vibe? Chef’s kiss. Mellow, classy, a little dark, lounge-y in that “you feel cooler just sitting there” kind of way. The velvety, cushy seating made me want to cancel all my plans and just live there indefinitely. And then… Carli enters the chat. Mad. Props. To. Carli. She greeted us like we were VIPs, guided us like a culinary fairy godmother, and made recommendations with the confidence of someone who knows she’s about to change your life. We trusted her immediately — as one does when greatness appears tableside. We kicked things off with shared apps: Waygu as Rockfire (buttery, melt-in-your-soul magic), Royal Flower Dumplings, Kinnickinnic Crisp Shell, and the Nobu Spicy Salmon Crispy — which Carli brilliantly suggested we sub with tuna. A visionary. An icon. A leader. Each dish somehow outdid the last. That Waygu? I will be dreaming about it for months. It was so indulgent it should require a warning label. I’m fairly certain food p0rN was invented for that exact bite. Then came the noodle debate: Pad Thai vs. Drunken Noodles. Carli said she prefers the drunken noodles, and at this point she had not steered us wrong once — so obviously we followed her lead. Now let me just say, I once took a cooking class in Thailand and made drunken noodles myself. I’ve tasted the real deal. And this version? Hands down the best I’ve had in the U.S. No question. We added shrimp, and they were light, juicy, perfectly cooked — not a single rubbery overachiever in the bunch. Absolute perfection. We wrapped it up with a hazelnut tiramisu situation. I don’t remember the exact name because we inhaled it in approximately 18 seconds. It never stood a chance. Long story short: completely, wildly worth it. My boyfriend and I live in Madison and we both agreed we will absolutely be making the drive down just to eat here again. We came for our anniversary. We left planning our next visit. And Carli? We relax and enjoy for an hour or so then take their busses to amfam for drop off and pick up. Safe, fun, free (please tip yr driver!) Never had an easier time! So seamless, convenient, fun. The staff is great, the food is great bar food. If you need a ride and don't want all the walking, driving, parking hassles, take advantage of their offer. I will never go to a game again without going to KBs for my pregame fun! Oh and the pretzel...its deelish and I don't think im exaggerating if I say its bigger than a bread box!”

“I would rate this restaurant 10 stars if I could. My salmon was by far the best I have ever eaten, and I spent 10 days in Scotland two years ago. The restaurant is so clean that it actually sparkles. Street parking can be a challenge but don't let that be a deterrent. You must try this restaurant!”

Food was good, prices were no more, no less than traditional restaurant and the atmosphere was 100% better! My only disappointment was that they were out of all their merchandise and you can't order anything online. We are visiting from Central NY so it's not loke I can go back to get what I wanted. i would have easily spent over $100 o. merchandise alone. that being said, I would 100% recommend this to anyone looking for a fun, meal that is a complete experience!”

“was there yesterday for the st patrick's day parade. Great experience till we moved in side. the waitress was more concerned about her getting tips and wasnt polite when I asked to turn up a game that was on. she spent more time changing our check then getting two beers. we got the check before the beer and was forced out by her racism and anger towrds a white couple. if the roles where reversed she would be up and arms. so we got forced to leave not by words by actions. we got disappointed i wouldn't recommend going there for an event like a parade at least not in side the out side tables where hard to sit in and the benches where if not loose then broken. dont expect out side service you hve to go inside to order and pick up everything. the bartender was spot of if you want a shot and a beer. the inside service sucked”

Abdul and his family are so welcoming and their establishment is a great addition to the neighborhood. Upon entering the restaurant you'll be hypnotized by the aroma of the food being prepared. I highly reccomend the Chicken Tikka Masala, Baithak Platter, Nana and the exquisite dipping sauces. If you're ever in the area of South Howell Avenue and East Bolivar Avenue I encourage you to stop in and taste for yourself all the deliciousness Baithak of Punjab has to offer.”
