“Came here at just after 4pm today on a whim. Clearly we hadn’t checked their opening time ahead of our visit and when we rolled up it was closing. However as we were planning our next move their finance guys happened to be leaving and asked if we would like to be servers some whiskey and beer. Of course we said yes! He opened everything back up for us and proceeded to served some samples and a tasting flight. Then he gave us a little tour of the back. Clearly MacAloney’s finance guy cares about the bottom line because we bought a few bottles. But more than that he cares about service and keeping customers happy. What a great afternoon and what a great place! Oh and their whiskey is fantastic too.”

Originally went months ago on a Saturday afternoon but it was packed and too crowded to even be able to look around at all the unique crazy spectacular decor or to take photos since too many customers were there.

Kept seeing 5 star reviews so decided to finally go back and try the food this time.

Went on a weekday afternoon. Very quiet and relaxed this time with tons of empty tables and I was able to actually look around at everything this time.

My latte was in a huge Mug and over flowing in a good way. The server did an awesome job of bringing it to my table without spilling it since it was full to the max.

The Brisket sandwich I ordered was massive. I managed to finish most of it. Very tasty and I added the Hotwheels sauce they had on my table.

Awesome presentation and taste. Massive sandwich and they had the knife 🔪 sticking out of it.

Was definitely worth the price and I'll be coming back again to try another unique item to feast on in the future.

After my meal I was extremely full and totally stuffed but managed to look around in the cool gift/merchandise shop they have.

From when you first enter & you smell the fresh herbs to when you sit down around the table on super comfortable chairs/couches. WOW. The staff were attentive, personal and yet not in your zone too much. Helpful with advice on the food and menu. 10/10. The food was on another planet. We had three dishes in total - one appy and two mains. Cooked perfectly, extremely fresh flavours and large portions. The naan bread… just wow. Delish! Will be coming back and telling everyone about this. They deserve a line out the door.”

Restaurant is large - it has great ambience, the layout provides a personal and intimate feeling despite there being many tables. The food is superb, we plan on returning to make our way through the great menu. It is the best place we have eaten at in Canada for food, service and ambience. We highly recommend the seafood tower as a way to taste through some of the menu. The grilled octopus rivalled what we have eaten in Italy. The pork belly was cooked to perfection. The wine list is extensive and expertly curated.”

“This is one of Victoria's highlights. Bunny's is a hidden gem of a cafe and one of the few places to get a decent latte, flat white, or cappuccino. The food is good, but the atmosphere is cozy and community-oriented. The best way to describe Bunny's is that it's like coming back home for the first time. We're originally from Ontario, and stepping into Bunnie's, it was a quality cafe experience without any of the pretentiousness downtown. Just make sure you have some time to kill because once you get to the cafe, you won't want to leave, and they do close early.”

When they state porkbelly and you get shaved roast porkbelly that is not seasoned and because it is thinner than their bacon super chewy and distracts from the other flavours of the dish which are okay. If they rubbed it and braised the belly and cut proper thick slices for porkbelly it would do the oppisite and add to the dish 🥲.”

“A small family business with exceptional food and service. The atmosphere is pleasant, with gentle music, books, and curios around the restaurant.

It's a small shop located inside the mall, better for a smaller group. When we visited there was construction inside the mall which was unfortunate, but the staff tried to reduce the noise and dust.

I wish they didn't use AI art in the menus -- we almost didn't visit for this reason, which would have been a shame because it was a great experience. It would've been nice to have real photos of the actual food in the menus, because the actual food was both gorgeous and fantastic.

Had fantastic vegetarian ramen, which came with some side dishes, and a really delicious blended drink. Staff was friendly and gave us a small free taro dessert. I will definitely be back!”

Lumache offers one of the most unique dining experiences in Victoria. With only 16 seats, the restaurant feels intimate and personal. The owner and chef prepares each course directly in front of you, allowing you to watch the entire evening unfold.

Every dish was thoughtful, beautifully presented and full of flavour. The vintage plates added character, while the small setting made the meal feel more like dining in the chef’s private kitchen than visiting a traditional restaurant.

My wife enjoyed her wine selection, and the group seated beside us spoke highly of the wine pairings. We are more drawn to cocktails, and Lumache’s creative cocktail list did not disappoint.

The entire evening was a huge hit. Lumache delivered one of the best dining experiences I have encountered in Victoria—if not anywhere. For anyone who appreciates excellent Italian food, thoughtful drinks and a truly intimate atmosphere, this restaurant is an absolute must.”

They make their own house setein for their veg sandwiches which is particularly nice. It's a great family owned business. Their cinnamon bun is a must try. Delighted to have this bakery in the city.”

“Normally food and service are both great. So I’d still recommend jgg if at be cautious of what day and time you go. I went on a Friday evening this last time and the food and service wasn’t good. I can understand why the service wasn’t amazing because it was crazy busy in there. However no excuses for the food as I bought the queen bee pizza and it was half sauced and some slices didn’t even have hot honey on it”

“Six Mile Pub was a great experience. We had just returned from 5 miles of hiking near Jordan River. We happened upon this lovely restaurant on the way back to Victoria and were delightfully surprised!

The atmosphere is just like an English pub. In fact, this pub is BC's OLDEST PUB, running since 1855. Very cool. Stained glass windows, wood floors, bar, pool tables, and outdoor patio. We sat on the patio in the sun next to the inlet water of Esquimalt Bay. Trees on the water side, hanging flower baskets on the patio, and classic umbrellas on each table for shade.

The service was EXCELLENT! Our server, Caleigh, was friendly, pleasant, and helpful!

We had the wild mushroom gnocchi which was delicious and the Cornish hen which was well plated and tasty.

We recommend Six Mile Pub and plan to go again!”

We also tried the Lamb Consumme which was rich and flavourful with lots of meat and chick peas finished with lime and cilantro. Amazing, friendly staff. A perfect meal to take to the park. Excellent paired with Horritos lime soda from the convenience store.”

“This place had a very good price for the portion size. Food was fresh and tasty with the dishes including lots of flavour. We ate the edamame, udon noodle bowl, kung pao chicken and teriyaki chicken.However, all their chicken was deep fried including teriyaki chicken which you would expect to be grilled. Kung pao not as spicy as expected. Other than those issues, the staff were nice and the place was well kept. They also did a good job st staggering the dishes. Overall, a pretty decent place for a quick bite and freshly made.👍”
