If you ever had food in New Orleans, you will know this ain't it. I don't know what others see in the food. Maybe each location is different. I went to the one in Rockledge/Cocoa Beach, Fl area. “Isekai is a small, friendly, family-run operation with a creative menu and top-quality ingredients. This was the first place I found in Tampa that offers toro (fatty tuna) and real wasabi. Everything I’ve tried on their menu so far, from sushi and onigiri to tempura, gyoza and chicken karaage, has been top notch. They also serve coffee, tea and boba drinks - my favorite is the Mango Passionfruit Tea with the mango chunks in the bottom. The atmosphere is cute and casual, with anime art and two screens showing anime and live action food or music videos. There are also tables available outside. I highly recommend this place.”

“My first time at a Brazilian Steakhouse and it was awesome. The ribeye and filet were my favorites of the night, but everything was really good. All you can eat quality cuts of steak, lamb, chicken, shrimp, salmon, and pork for only $62.50..yes please! My wife who is not a big eater had the salad bar, which had a huge selection of many different foods...calling it a salad bar is far far inadequate. As for the meat coming to your table, don't be shy about asking for what you want if you are not seeing it. Everyone there was friendly and attentive. They even indulged my odd request for ketchup. My wife said the lobster bisque was the best she ever had!”

“I’m in Greece. No, not really. We just found the best Greek restaurant ever. It’s called Psomi. My goodness, so delicious. On February 20, our first time here, we had bread basket/psomi bread, le meunier butter, organic extra virgin olive oil, jam, and Greek scrambled with caramelized onion, roasted cherry tomato, creamy feta, grilled baguette. We liked the restaurant so much we came back the next day. We had chicken souvlaki - Greek yogurt brined organic breast, tzatziki, tomato, red onion, stuffed with cut fries, wrapped in a warm pita. Then we came back again on Sunday February 23 for some Greek style breakfast.”

“This is real authentic Chinese cuisine more specifically it’s northern Chinese cuisine. Very similar to what you would find in Beijing or Shenyong. They had a great selection of beef, chicken, pork, lamb, shrimp, dishes, and skewers. They also had more exotic fair, such as squid, frogs, chicken feet, pork belly, beef heart, beef tripe, and duck bleed. It’s pretty awesome! The service was great even late at night and we really loved the cucumber salad and the grilled eggplant. I would definitely recommend this to anyone who loves authentic Chinese cuisine.”

Hostess Angel greeted us warmly, and our server Allison A. was simply outstanding ~ easily one of the best experiences we’ve had anywhere in Tampa. We started with drinks, and every single one was perfect. The Lychee Martini was smooth and floral, the Espresso Martini had just the right kick, and the Haku ~ their version of a Moscow Mule ~ was phenomenal. My husband is a self-proclaimed Moscow Mule connoisseur, and he gave it high praise. The food? Next-level. The Tuna Carpaccio was the star of the show ~ literally melted in our mouths. We also loved the Classic Poké, Tempura Poké Rolls, and the Tekka Roll ~ all fresh, flavorful, and beautifully presented with different types of soy causes for each. The only item that didn’t quite hit the mark for us was the Hanabi Maki ~ still very fresh, just not our personal favorite. I’m sure many others enjoy it! This is clearly shown in how the illumination in the room is focus on the guest seats in comparison to the rest of the space. The contrast of the natural wood counters against the shadowy background provides an understated grace and refined simplicity without the pretentious nature occasionally found in fine dining. The music is modern, melodic, and upbeat. It aptly fills the room without being overbearing so that conversation can be had at soft levels. The cleanliness of the restaurant is crisp from front entry to rear restroom. With that being said, the food is the star of the show. Simply put, it is an eye opening and daring journey. Chef Eric takes you through his mind as he lays his very thoughts on the plate in front of you. Each course is assembled with intent and purpose. The dishes expose the guests to gastronomical revelations that will leave you wanting more and forcing you to ask questions like; "What kind of madman created this and how/where do I get more of it?" Chef Eric has a story to tell, and each dish is an enthralling chapter of a book you never want to end. For dinner I had the Oak Grilled Norwegian Salmon with heirloom tomato salad, white wine butter sauce, and house-made orzo pasta with a side of the Caramelized Brussels Sprouts with Applewood bacon and a balsamic glaze. It was all excellent and very flavorful just as everything else has been in my 4 visits here. It's hard to even pick a favorite! Besides the great selection of shareable plates, entrees, sides, and drinks, the decor and ambience are stunning. Then add to that, my server Adam was exceptional, and he was very attentive, polite, respectful, courteous, patient, and he genuinely made me feel so welcomed and valued. He has made so many wonderful recommendations to me over my visits and has even gotten me to try many new things that have all been excellent.”

The fries had the perfect crunch, and the chicken sandwich was juicy on the inside, perfectly crispy on the outside, and surprisingly big…about the size of my palm and spilling out of the bun in the best way. Everything tasted so fresh and well-prepared.

Unfortunately, my second visit didn’t live up to that same standard. The chicken portion was noticeably smaller and made the sandwich feel more like bread with a bite of chicken. Both the sandwich and fries were lukewarm and lacked the freshness I had been looking forward to. I’m hopeful it was just an off day. When Shake Shack gets it right, it’s really good!”

“This was our first experience with Mr and Mrs Crab. The four of us visited at 6 p.m. on a Saturday night and had no trouble getting seated. Our server, I believe his name was Daniel, was excellent in explaining the menu to us and attending to us throughout the meal. We had calamari and fried pickles for the appetizer, and we enjoyed a delicious bowl of clam chowder before dinner. Our friends ordered exactly the same thing we did. Each of us had one boil S-1 The basic, which came with 1/2 pound of shrimp, 1/2 pound of sausage, and 1/2 pound of blue mussels. The boil also came with ample potatoes and corn. We both ordered the Mr and Mrs Crab special seasoning. I ordered mine with medium heat, and next time I will order it with hot, as it wasn't spicy enough for me. The fish and chips included a generous portion of fish, and we opted for sweet potato fries; both the fish and fries were exceptionally well-prepared. The manager or owner stopped by to ensure our food and service were satisfactory. We didn't all care for the photographer who stopped by with a classic camera to take pictures of us (dinner cruise style). We thought they just wanted the picture for their walls, but sure enough, around she came, trying to sell the photos all framed for us. Just not our style of a private dinner restaurant. However, she was very nice. We will definitely return for another visit. Excellent food.”

My partner gets a traditional ramen (obviously add that seasoned egg) and I either do the mushroom ramen (w/vegan truffle butter) or the Tofu Don add shitake mushrooms. Honestly, everything we've tried has been delicious! The bartenders are nice and they have a great selection of anything you want to drink. Dare I say it's even better than Ichicoro?? There are former members of that staff who've open this spot and they've carried over all the right elements/ingredients.”
