“One of the best meals we had in Montreal, and we particularly enjoyed the Bluefin Tartare, Maitake, and Kohlrabi. The sauce used for the Kohlrabi had a nice spicy punch which was really nice. The Grassfed Angus Beef was juicy and tender too!

“This is easily one of the best meals I have ever had. We went on a busy Saturday night and we were promptly seated as soon as we arrived. Our original server was absolutely lovely and really helped us with the menu. We decided to have the kitchen curate a menu for us with wine pairings which was the BEST decision. We got such an array of dishes and every single one was delicious and every wine accompaniment worked perfectly. We were there for 2 hours and were attended to perfectly by multiple servers who were so knowledgeable about the menu and wine pairings. The restaurant itself was beautiful, I cannot say enough good things. I can’t wait to go back”

“Tucked away at the back of a church this restaurant is truly a hidden gem. We sat at the chefs table and were able to see all the food being prepared and ask the chefs more details about the food. We had the wine pairing menu which was excellent. Our server was very accommodating as one of the wines was not to our taste and they quickly replaced it with an excellent choice. The flavours in each course were delicious and made want to savour every bite. We will definitely be returning to Restaurant Candide again.”

Loved the vibe overall and definitely worth making a detour for - it's a great spot for a date, to hang with friends, or to entertain business colleagues/clients. They've completely upped their game even further and cemented its status as one of the best cocktail bars in the city.”

We had the raw halibut which was similar to a ceviche, the muscles with the salsa which were my favourite, pork and beef skewers, as well as three different salads, the green mint bean salad, the salad with mixed greens, as well as the zucchini salad. We also had the grilled arctic char and the lobster risotto. The risotto portion, I expected to be larger esp as a main, but with all the food we had, we were full.”

“Came for MTL á Table promotion - a wonderful evening! This was high level cooking in a style I didn`t know, sub-Saharan African specialties and inspiration. The servers were warm, professional, knowledgeable and courteous. The atmosphere was cozy but not cramped with music that was not too loud and convivial. And the food was great - every dish came out perfectly, beautifully presented, delicious even though it was unfamiliar (part of the appeal). From the dual eggplant with watercress foam stew appetizer through the cooked banana with light chocolate and biscuit dessert, all was done to perfection. My main course (Palette of Bon Bœuf low-temperature beef, lacquered with tomato juice flavoured with curry and turmeric, butternut squash purée, potato cromesquis, marinated zucchini roll) was amazingly tender and delicious. Artful and satisfying, we will be back! An additional thanks for using warm serving plates, which kept the delicious hot food warm without rushing through it! It`s a sign of a good restaurant that knows what it`s doing. Highly recommended!”

There is an ATM on site, but just bring a handful of dollar bills, and you'll be set to experience the wide variety of freshly baked goods they have to offer.

Cashiers are always friendly and when the cashier was doing something and we were waiting to order, someone from the kitchen came to take our order to keep the line moving. Chicken fingers were good, especially with the honey mustard sauce. Onion rings were ok, a bit salty and not fried the best. Chubby burger was ok as well, more bun than chicken. Atmosphere is laid back, not rowdy like the fast food joint across it.”

“Started last Friday’s day off with a stop at the amazing Cafe dei Campi. Fully veganized Italian pastries and small pizzas. Soups and salads too but I stuck to the Italian specialties. Hazelnut filled tortellini melt in your mouth pastries. Amarettis and Biscotti. The essential Italian cafe’s big espresso machine which makes the perfect double espresso with the layer of crema and their cappuccino with perfect foam. Accompanied with a flaky delicious cornetto, it felt like heaven. Much chatting with my friend and a necessary second cornetto and espresso completed our visit by closing time. We had lucked out with a table. Had a great rest of the day that right from the start, arriving at the cafe there was a couple with their little boy wearing a Metallica t-shirt. Of course I had to comment, he was so cute and responsive to my speaking to him. And found out he’s a true fan of heavy metal music, this beautiful 4 year old boy named Sandro. So the day was pretty perfect.🖤”

“My wife and I had a fantastic evening here on Friday. It has a warm atmosphere that made us want to stay much longer than we would have normally. The food was exquisite, and a good value for the quality provided. The wine list was extensive, featuring wines from several French regions, as well as some from Italy, Spain, US, and Canada. The servers were attentive, speaking French and English, and there was a sommelier on staff to help with the wine. The plates weren’t overly large, but we were quite filled after three courses, wine, and an aperitif. We are definitely coming back the next time we’re in town.”

“Firstly, to find this place you need to take the escalator down two floors to the food court, it's not obvious where it is but it's worth it.

I ordered poached eggs and sausage (which come with potatoes) and an Americano.

The food was cooked well, was tasty and the sausage came with a really nice side sauce. The employee who served me was friendly and helpful as I speak very little french, but this obviously served the workers in this building so was pretty quiet at 11am.

The food also is really cheap in comparison to other cafes/restaurants in the area so I was able to tip really well and still have an affordable meal.”

“We were walking to Café Myriade and saw that it was quite full. There was another cafe nearby with a menu sign saying “saffron latte” and “peanut latte,” so we came back to check it out. Outside is a small quaint exterior with cute seating, leading downstairs to the larger café area. Our lattes were made very well, strong espresso, use of real saffron and peanuts, not too sweet. Our barista was so kind. Glad we stopped here!”

“What's crazy to me is that something like this hasn't been open in the mile end for the last 80 years. This is exactly what our neighbourhood needed and just couldn't have been executed any better. We usually go for the Thali paired with the Masala Dosa (large crepe-like dish). La Super Qualité can make both of those dishes Vegan if that's your dietary preference.

The thali flavors pair well together. You get a mix of rice, light spices, tangy sauce, hot vegetables and a cool salad to cool off or refresh your palate between bites.

“went there last night with my friends and this was the most fun ive ever had eating, ever! i already cant wait to go again. the broths were delicious, the meat was flavorful and the fish was so tender it melted in my mouth. they have so many great options for protein and veggies and noodles, we had a hard time choosing. we ate so much food and thought we were gonna pay a fortune but when split amongst 4 people, it was less than 50$! and our server Steven was so fun and welcoming and kind, he made sure our experience was no short of amazing! “The staff was very friendly and accommodating to my son’s allergies. He’s allergic to egg, fish and shellfish. We were able to order the avocado gimbap without egg and ask them to be careful with cross contamination. My son loved his first gimbap. We also ordered bulgogi kimbap and injeolmi craffle, which were delicious as well. The place doesn’t have AC so it does get pretty hot during the summer and there’s little seating. We will definitely visit again when we are in the area.”
