“The Legendary Joe Beef. We had the Foie Gras double down, the rabbit, and the veal. This is basically the Rolls Royce of restaurants, you are paying for the name. Food was unlike anything I've ever had and was extremely flavourful, but Canadian shrinkflation means you pay a lot for a little, so I left hungry. Great experience though between the ambience and the staff, it was unforgettable.”

“What an experience! Over the course of about 3 hours, 7 fantastic dishes, paired with 7 glasses of perfectly selected wine, I discovered what the term "fine dining" actually means. It's sophisticated without being overly serious, the flavors are always playful, changing right when you think you've figured them out. My favorite dish was a charred trout with roe and confit melon, in a beurre blanc sauce (chef's kiss). However, everything was truly wonderful, from a perfectly cooked strip loin, to rare squab with a rich berry sauce, to a braised beet on top of an intense shiitake mushroom puree. The service is impeccable: they never miss a beat. Whether it was never missing the opportunity to pull out the chair for my companion, to simply exuding a quite and comforting friendliness. Accommodation is what they strive for, and they go above and beyond to achieve that while maintaining an air of effortlessness. Needless to say, I'm counting the days until I go back.”

The service is very nicely done, they give out the informations you need and make sure when you're ready or not. Atmosphere is laid back, not rowdy like the fast food joint across it.”

The flavours in each course were delicious and made want to savour every bite. We will definitely be returning to Restaurant Candide again.”

“Started last Friday’s day off with a stop at the amazing Cafe dei Campi. Fully veganized Italian pastries and small pizzas. Soups and salads too but I stuck to the Italian specialties. Hazelnut filled tortellini melt in your mouth pastries. Amarettis and Biscotti. The essential Italian cafe’s big espresso machine which makes the perfect double espresso with the layer of crema and their cappuccino with perfect foam. Accompanied with a flaky delicious cornetto, it felt like heaven. Much chatting with my friend and a necessary second cornetto and espresso completed our visit by closing time. We had lucked out with a table. Had a great rest of the day that right from the start, arriving at the cafe there was a couple with their little boy wearing a Metallica t-shirt. Of course I had to comment, he was so cute and responsive to my speaking to him. And found out he’s a true fan of heavy metal music, this beautiful 4 year old boy named Sandro. “Le St-Urbain has become a family favourite! Every dish is delicious. I ordered cream of parsnip and apple soup pistachios, endive, sage. An absolute must try! It was the best soup I ever had. The seafood was fresh, meats are tender and original desserts. I ordered carrot ice cream with spicy chocolate cake that upon reading the ingredients you would think it would not work but it was delicious.

The menu changes frequently to reflect ingredients in season. Atmosphere is warm and cozy. Service was great, hard working caring team for sure. What a gem of a restaurant in Ahuntsic. I can not recommend this restaurant enough. Bravo!”

The food was exquisite, and a good value for the quality provided. The wine list was extensive, featuring wines from several French regions, as well as some from Italy, Spain, US, and Canada. “We really enjoyed the brunch menu here. What we appreciated most was how beautifully each component was executed. The techniques were handled with precision and restraint, yet the complexity still came through in every element of the dish. Nothing felt loud or flashy; instead, there was a quiet refinement achieved through thoughtful balance and depth of flavour, along with a pleasing interplay of textures that unfolded as you continued to savour each bite. It felt like a well-judged balance between French classics and contemporary reinterpretation.

We ordered the Garlic Gratiné Snails (Escargot), Salmon Tartare, Pulled Pork Sandwich, Icelandic Cod, and the Chocolate Entremet Cake. The Escargot and Icelandic Cod were well executed. The chocolate cake was a real highlight and easily one of the best desserts we have had in a while. The ambience was cozy yet elegant, which complemented the food beautifully. We would highly recommend this place.”

I asked why it's $1 more? 4 staffers gathered around like a major world event had occurred. Then they said cause it's cheesecake. They were not so friendly either. But the food made up for it. They have a dining area too in the Humaniti hotel. It's all connected.”

I definitely recommend this restaurant to all people who like kebap, pide (vegetarian options available), turkish soups with both vegetarian and meat options. “One of my favorite hotels ever!! Right in the heart of old Montreal, and a short walk to everything that Old Montreal has to offer. It sits on a beautiful cobblestone street, and is in an old, historic building. The rooms were beautiful, with windows that open to let in some great fresh air. I loved their little breakfast, which consisted of different breads each day, spread, cheese, and some cold pressed local juice. Just a top notch experience, and affordable too!”

“Walking in, the warm atmosphere makes you feel instantly at home. With only a few tables, set for the lucky locals, I feel privileged to have chef George in the neighbourhood. The Spanish vibe takes you right in the streets of St Sebastian’s tapas spots. It is worth a visit if you want to be pampered by the chef who is sophisticated yet humble. I would say try everything on the menu because it changes regularly. Each visit, I want to say it’s an absolute artistic experience etc but really, it is a party in my mouth. I walk out inspired to cook and excited to be back.”

“Surprisingly walked past this 100% plant based restaurant in Montreal and knew we had to try it!

Flavourful, delicious, and lots of great options - we tried the Kao Kra Pao (with the powders they provided it was spicy and great flavour) and the chai-yo sandwich 93 which was also great! Thai iced tea to go with our meals.

We would’ve come back again if it wasn’t our last day in Montreal. Will be back for sure!”
