With that, Phnom Penh Noodle House serves up traditional and deliciois Cambodian foods in generous portions at reasonable prices. The servers and wait staff are friendly, skilled, and easy to chat with. You will find three generational dining at many of tables and it reminds me of attending a family event. Come for the great food and come back for the easy going atmosphere.”

“A real Southern meat 'n' three, right here in Seattle! I'm so glad I stopped in. It's down-home cooking made with love and plenty of flavor. The menu isn't huge and I've tried most of the items, so here are my thoughts:
• House Smoked Meatloaf: Absolute must-try. My favorite item on the menu. Tender, moist, and seasoned all the way through, improved only by the delicious chipotle tomato jam.
• Hot Honey Cornbread Fritters: Definitely don't skip this one, either. Eat em' fresh for the most luxurious combination of crispy, tender, sweet, savory, spicy, and overall heavenly.
• Red Potato Salad: Delicious and surprisingly light! Not your everyday potato salad—I'd definitely recommend trying some.
• House Pickle Chips: Crunchy and fresh, like good pickles should be. An excellent addition to balance out the heavy mains.
• Banana Pudding Ice Box Cake: A unique take on a Southern classic, but don't expect a traditional banana pudding!
• Rotating Seasonal Dessert: When I visited, it was a peach cobbler cheesecake and it was absolutely divine. If you're not feeling the banana pudding, I doubt you can go wrong with whatever other dessert they have available.
• Sweet Tea: Another rare find in Seattle, the sweet tea is actually brewed sweet and it's delicious. Plus the owners let me top it off before I left!
• Braised Pork Shoulder: Very flavorful and moist, but could use a little less salt and a little more acid.
• Braised Rosemary White Beans: Good, but probably my least favorite item on the menu. They could be a bit more thoughtful—they taste like canned beans with some chopped rosemary stirred in.
• Miso Honey Butter Green Beans: The sauce is excellent. They'd be even better with fresh (not canned) green beans.
• Charred Maple Glazed Carrots: Love the balance of sweet and spicy!
• Marinated Slaw: A little bit elevated but still comforting, with some poppy seeds and a little bit of horseradish or something similar to cut through the mayo.

There are only about 8 seats inside, but it's near the lake so it's great to take out for a little picnic. The prices are also super reasonable.

The owners were extremely warm and kind during my visit—even the little one! It's clear that Zax is run with care and passion.”

“After having been to Driftwood twelve times I can confidently say it’s the only restaurant in Seattle worth dining at.  Lots of places make claims about freshness and local ingredients, but chef Dan Mallahan shops at the Farmers Market two days a week. It’s not a joke or a gimmick. If you want to eat food grown exclusively in Washington State, that tastes real, then Driftwood is the spot. They serve tomatoes that actually have flavor, delicious veggie dishes, and meat and fish that are tender and juicy. They combine so many flavors in a subtle harmony making each bite you take delightful. Not to mention the killer cocktails.  The vibe is beautiful but chill. The staff are lovely and kind. Everything about Driftwood is real. The food, the people, even the hand towels in the bathroom.  Concerned about prices at a farm-to-table restaurant and getting enough to eat? Go with a friend and share two starters and a main. For example, I just had the Olsen Farm Kennebec JoJos, the Piece by Piece Farm Tempura Delicata squash, and the Butcher’s Cut Pork Chop. Yum!”

“The atmosphere is superb! I love the heathy option. Remember your input matters. You cannot expect same output (outcome) when you are putting bad inputs. Self-care by eating healthy food option. This is a place for those who take their body seriously. The staffs tend to be busy but it is worth the wait. I can see that they really do care about the food and its service. Btw I even saw @spencerhawes NBA player order here. Which means foods are good here. Sport players know what tastes good! Come and taste!”

“Tried this very special “takeout only omakase sushi box”, Edomae style ( use cured/aged fish, and red vinegar seasoning in rice). The executive chef, chef Ryo, has worked in many renowned restaurant including Michelin star sushi restaurant “Sushi Sho”. Before joining this new restaurant “Ltd Edition Sushi” in capitol hill, he worked side by side with chef Nakazawa-an icon of edomae style in Japan, at both Sushi Sho Tokyo and Sushi Sho Honolulu. The sushi omakase box and kids fish bowl are both very sophisticated, the curing and aging techniques brings out the deep complex flavor of each fish and gives each fish this extra tender texture, the taste profile as such is hard to find here in Seattle. Chef sake flight ( we tried Haneya Junmai Ginjo and Hidakami Junmai today), one is floral and one on the dry side, pair with his sushi very well. Sushi is in a very elegant wooden box and everything you will need for the experience including a separate soy sauce dipping dish is prepared for the guest. This is, truly, a perfect omakase takeout experience. 💕💕😋”

The inside is pretty bare, but you're going there to eat, not scrutinize the interior decorating. If you are, then maybe re-think your priorities, eh?
If you REALLY can't stand to be inside, there's a pleasant outdoor sitting area, where you can graze, look at the goings on in the park or admire the local wildlife.

“Some Random Bar is a great neighborhood spot in Belltown, right around the corner of 1st Avenue and Vine Street. The atmosphere is casual and comfortable, making it a good place to stop for drinks and food without feeling overly formal. The menu goes beyond basic bar food, with a good variety of dishes and cocktails.

The location is especially convenient if you’re walking around Belltown, and there are plenty of other restaurants and businesses nearby. It has the kind of neighborhood atmosphere that fits this part of Seattle well. A nice option for a relaxed evening with friends or a casual meal.”

“I used to visit Seattle for years every other month and there was never a question if I was going to make time to visit my favorite Hawaiian food spot.
I have not had a dish here I did not like but I always come back to the faithful spicy huli huli chicken. The Mac salad is perfect blend of tangy, savory and creamy. Taste great mixing it in with a little sriracha or the left over huli sauce. The slaw gives a great crispy fresh texture without overpowering the main dish.
The staff has always been so nice and it’s great to have a place you don’t have to find parking as they have some spots in the back. The portion size is huge and well worth what you pay. Would recommend this place to anyone who lives here or is visiting. I know I make my trip to come get it regularly.”

“While I have never visited in person, Broadcast Coffee is by far my most coveted coffee. I absolutely love their coffee! From Columbia Pensilvania, to Columbia Los Angeles, and now Autumn Blend, I can't get enough of this delicious coffee! I LOVE every single coffee I try. I am definitely not afraid of purchasing a full pound of coffee that I haven't first sampled!”

We ordered the Grindhouse, a Mortadella, classic Salami, stacked with Dijon mustard, mayo, shredded iceberg, house made dill pickles, provolone, and a bright red wine vinaigrette, all on a perfectly chewy demi baguette. Every bite was balanced and delicious in a cute space. Downside for older guests is the unmanned Kiosk to order. No opportunity to ask about the sandwiches and then after ordering yourself the kiosk asks for a tip! And parking, however, was nearly impossible. We ended up in a garage that cost more than the sandwich itself. Still, the food was excellent — just go when you have patience (or a chauffeur).”

We tried the sriracha burger, Smash, Bacon Cheddar, chicken wings, and jalapeño poppers—all packed with great flavor—and the fries were perfectly crisp. I’ll definitely be returning and highly recommend giving this place a try.”

“My husband introduced me to Tai Tung shortly after we were married 60 years ago. My sons grew up eating there and much later my granddaughter did too. The food is exquisite, especially shrimp in crab sauce, the service is impeccable and the ambiance is kind of old fashioned and comfortable. In fact, Tai Tung is and always has been virtually the best restaurant in Seattle.”

She knew the menu by heart and offered some good recommendations for dinner along with some even better recommendations on things to do and see while visiting Seattle. 10 for 10 in my book!”

“We were back in town for the marathon last weekend. My husband went to culinary school at the Art Institute of Seattle and we have been back to visit many times. I just wanted to leave a note here about the waiter we had Sunday evening. It was the best service we have had in a long time. Several other restaurants we went to included an 18-20% gratuity to the check, and service reflected that. Cutters doesn’t. Our waiter gave good wine recommendations, was attentive, patient with our kids, and even gave us a small portion of noodles to take home and finish with the sauce that came with the mussels. We tipped accordingly, and really did appriciate the service. It seems to be a lost art. Food was great! Kids loved the mocktails. 2 course meal was delicious. It was a great place for my husband to get his seafood fix. Thank you!”

“This is definitely a few steps above your local gyro stand. The atmosphere is pleasant. Noise levels aren't so high that you can't carry a conversation. The food is really good. I got the half-chicken which did not disappoint. I wouldn't order the short ribs because there isn't much meat which is ridiculous for $40.”

I ordered the savory (chicken and waffles) and devoured it before I could even take a picture. Everything was cooked to perfection, and was a great balance of sweet to spicy and so flavorful. What made it even more special is the owner who made the experience very personal throughout our service. Important to note it is a small place so you may end up having to wait for a table but, trust me, it’d be worth the wait.”
