“Oh my… this was quite an experience! When going there, letyourself be surprised by the Chef’s Menu (Menu dégustation in french). Surprise after surprise, it will make you live a real culinary experience! And our waiter (fluently bilingual) was excellent and vey passionate! Along with the lady who brought each plate and explained to us what they were. And finally the manager, I believe, who came over a few times to talk about the plates, the wine and how the pasta were made the same day, very early in the morning The wine suggestion was also perfect! Finally, the décor is not at all what you would expect, from looking at the menu on the web-site; very fresh, young, modern, yet very warm decor! Please go and try this place. The attentive but non-disruptive service is appreciated, as the tables are quite small so the tidying is a nice touch. The prices are not cheap, for example, my nigiri set was $65. Pay street parking is available so arrive early for your reso to snag a spot nearby.”

“Little bit of a late post but me and my girlfriend came here for the valentines special menu. It was amazing and the service was really thoughtful. Our server was Aaron, and he was very kind and made terrific suggestions. He was very honest too and suggested I get the Sablefish rather than their steak. I was very happy I did make that decision as the food was top notch. They gave complimentary bread with a very nice hummus style spread. The appetizers were very tasty, especially the crab cakes. The desert was also super delicious, the tiramisu had quite a strong orange profile to it. The $50 whiskey flight from a japanese distiller was also quite smooth and tasty. Overall will visit again and ask for Aaron!”

“Overall experience here was great! The food was super fresh, customer service was on point as expected and the atmosphere was incredibly lively. There’s so much happening here which can get a bit overwhelming, especially with all of the clashing sounds. You’ve got the main music, birthday celebrations with tambourines and the hand pulled noodle guy that walks around with his own speaker! On top of that, it’s also incredibly busy. The only thing that genuinely made my table uncomfortable was the noodle guy. He came to our table and hit our friend in the face and head with the noodle multiple times. At first it was funny, but as it kept going we got increasingly more uncomfortable. He hit all 3 of us in the faces and the entire experience made us feel really weird. Other than that, everything else was great. The waiting area is super spacious and they have lots to do to keep you distracted and busy while you wait!”

“I had a beautiful dinner here last month, everything I ordered was perfect. I don't drink, but I was able to have a carefully crafted cocktail and a decent non-alcoholic red wine. The friends that I was with did have a couple faux pa's ... the pork shoulder was super over cooked, and the flambe was so boozy it was inedible for them. Having said that, everything I ate was just perfect (hence the 5 stars!), so no complaints from me! I consider myself a major foodie, so I also think I'm a good picker ;-P ... if I had a title for my personal dinner it would be 'flawless execution'”

“I had an incredible experience here last Friday! My friends hosted a surprise bridal shower for me in the private dining room. The staff were thoughtful and helpful with the setup, allowing my them to come in early to decorate the space. They also did a flawless job with executing the surprise by pretending to bring me to a table first. The server was fun, warm and attentive throughout the night and I feel terrible that I’m forgetting her name! All the food was delicious, which has been the case every time I’ve been to Boulevard.”

“We came for a good bye dinner with our team. Our company closed and Glowbal was selected by numerous recommendations from our other colleagues. It was an amazing atmosphere and definitely super-tasty food. When the time for dessert came, our beautiful waitresses came with our ordered sweet cake with “Happy Unemployment “ writing on the plate. It was a bittersweet moment for all of us but our mood instantly switched to laughter and we almost forgot the cause of our gathering”

“The hostesses at the front are vibrant and charming. They offer a complimentary glass of champagne to sip while you’re waiting. If you don’t imbibe, they will accommodate your soft drink request. We were seated at a table on the patio which is very close to the street. So if you choose to sit on the patio, There will be city sounds which, apart from the occasional siren, quickly dissolves into the artful landscaping. Raven, our server, was friendly and cheerful, in addition to being appropriately attentive. We started with the mini steak French dips. Expertly seasoned and grilled, new york steak strips over a button of gruyere cheese atop a tiny slice of sourdough garlic bread with a side of au jus. These were quite more-ish. I recommend them. My husband enjoyed the Mediterranean salad and I liked my seared ahi tuna salad very much. The tuna is sliced thicker than carpaccio but thinner than sushi and gently seared. The plating was elegant and the salad finely chopped with bits of mango and shaved avocado on the top.. I tasted a bit of mint leaf and the light dressing was truly perfect. The staff pay attention to the guests and, when your server is busy, they make themselves available for your needs. It appears the staff members enjoy each other’s company as well as their jobs. I observed real teamwork throughout. We had the apple pie for dessert. On its own it is delicious with a caramel apple filling and it’s flaky , buttery and crunchy crus. It can easily be shared by three people and would have been enough. But do’gild the lily’ by adding the Canadian maple ice cream. We felt comfortable and satisfied. We were pleased with every bite and the Joey Burrard experience from start to finish. We will definitely go back and try some other offerings. Go and have fun. And talk to the very friendly staff who are so willing to engage.”

The entire experience was exceptional, and the food was perfect from start to finish.We had the red wine braised short rib of beef from Double R Ranch — it melted in my mouth and the flavor was out of this world. We started with the scallops and smoked bison tartare, both of which were outstanding.For other mains, we enjoyed the wood grilled lamb, the Hank tenderloin steak, the Wagyu beef picanha from Brant Lake Farm in Alberta, Blue Dot Beef in Prince Edward Island striploin (10 oz). They were all amazing. The Blue Dot had incredible flavor — juicy, tender, and hands down the best steak I’ve ever had. Every steak was beautifully cooked and packed with flavor.We finished the evening with trying ALL THE DESSERTS! The baked Alaska was beautiful and delicious! The ice cream trio was so creamy and rich. The creme brûlée was smooth and dreamy. The chocolate cake was moist and perfectly matched with the passionfruit sauce. The fam favorite was definitely the cheesecake… we were all wanting it! Perfect flavor not too sweet and very smooth. Blackberries were a perfect match. We also had the donuts.. don’t forget about those. Im still dreaming of them. Highly recommend — a truly unforgettable meal!”

“We had the Spaghetti Meatballs & Cherry Coke Ribs. The Spaghetti, eh, honestly, you could do better, forget the pasta at the pasta place lol. Those cherry coke ribs were so unbelievably good, and the side of Lemon Pepper Grilled Brussel Sprouts. OMG I would come here just for that. We finished off the night with a Tiramisu, and it didn't dissappoint. We will definitely be back. The only negative/ complaint if that, I notice a lot of people recommend it as a date spot, if you want to chat, dont bother, the place is so friggin loud lol”

“My family and I were there Boxing Day and the staff were very friendly. We couldn’t decide between Butter Chicken pizza or BBQ Chicken pizza, but the guy suggested to do half and half. Great suggestion so we can all get what we wanted. When the pizza was ready, the clerk tried handing me the pizza, but cause the end of the glass counter was curved, the pizza tipped and slid together in the box. We were so hungry and told him it’s ok, we can just eat it anyways, but they were very kind and let us keep that pizza and made a fresh one right away. Awesome service and staff and very fresh yummy pizza! Thank you again for the wonderful service!”

If you’re a big pasta person, this place is definitely for you. That being said, the almond semifreddo dessert was not disappointing as well. As far as service goes, I appreciate that they don’t come up to you every 2 minutes to ask “how’s the first few bites?” yet all the servers are still friendly and attentive throughout. For me, it doesn’t get any better than that. Let me eat my food and if I need something, I’ll let you know. Important to note: if you’re coming on a Saturday, be sure to be there by 4- 4:10pm to make sure you get seated. The line gets really long shortly thereafter. A restaurant with a long line outside will always draw more attention than the empty ones, very clever 😉 So make sure you go early…. And enjoy!”

We enjoy the dim sums which are always delicate, light but flavourful.

“I’ve been coming to this Freshslice location for a while now, and every time I walk in, I wish I get served from Mehak. She is seriously one of the friendliest and most helpful staff members I’ve ever met at any pizza place!
Last night I was trying to decide between a few slices and she patiently explained all the current deals, suggested the best combos, and even made sure my Butter Chicken slice came out extra fresh and hot. Her positive energy and big smile made the whole experience so much better – especially after a long day.
The pizza is always solid but Mehak is the real MVP here. Fast, polite, great communication, and genuinely seems to enjoy making customers happy.
If you’re in the area, come during her shift – you’ll leave with great pizza and good vibes! Highly recommend this location because of awesome team members like Mehak. Keep it up! 🍕🙌 highly recommended to vist this store”

The event was flawlessly organized and orchestrated by the Hy's team, the food was next level even by Hy's standards and the service exceeded anything we have experienced anywhere in North America even in the finest hotels. Bryant Olender added a classic background with piano and vocal stylings that perfectly suited the atmosphere. It was certainly the best evening we have at Hy's over the last decade, and I don't think I'm overstating it to say it was a "Once in a Lifetime" experience. A huge thankyou to Barb and the entire Hy's team!”

“This was truly one of the best dining experiences I’ve ever had, the owner was hilarious and made fantastic jokes throughout the meal, he served us food and told stories that were fantastic. The environment is very wholesome and pure and every employee is rushing and working extremely hard to serve amazing food that is not only the best crepes I’ve ever had but at a really reasonable price. “We had my mother's 80th celebration catered by Eat Heritage, looking for a Chinese traditional feast-type ambience, and the food didn't disappoint. Everybody had favourites, but the duck went especially quickly, and the kids dug into the fully loaded fried rice and veggie spring rolls. Me, I was all about the black sesame balls which people appreciated despite having to eat them as dessert when they were already stuffed. We had a nice mix of vegetarian and meatlover dishes with leftovers divvied up after the celebration. Completely happy with the catering service!”

“Feb 4/26. We were there for Dine out Vancouver, although the hostess did not offer us that menu when we arrived, the food was good the service was very good. Appetizers were beet carpaccio, the waitress made sure we realized we were ordering beet and not beef. It was good but the whipped goat cheese needed a stronger flavour such as blue or a feta cheese. And grilled prawns which were excellent, although there was not enough crostini for the amount of the lovely buttery garlic sauce. Main courses were a grilled salmon and beef short rib, both were excellent and substantial. However, the beef was supposed to come with a celeriac puree which I was really looking forward to. Unfortunately the celeriac puree was not available, even though the Granville Island Market was just down the street and it was an early 5:30 reservation. However, the coliflower puree was nice, its not the same. Deserts, creme brulee and tiramisu were ok but not really exciting. But, as mentioned earlier the service was excellent.

Terrific local brews but, sadly, their kitchen was a bit rushed and my FISH AND CHIPS selection was disappointing. Chips were terrific .....cooked crisp as requested with a lovely flavour but the fish batter wasn't drained properly and fried too thick which overwhelmed the taste and completely lost the fish.”

“If you are in Vancouver and want an amazing dining experience, we highly recommend Lift Bar and Grill. We dined here for supper on June 3, 2023, and absolutely loved the atmosphere as well as the food! Waterfront dining (they provide indoor/outdoor and roof top dining), with the water and mountain views was spectacular as we watched the sunset on the water. Our server Sean was very pleasant and courteous and made our time there very enjoyable. We started with Caesars and Soughdough Baguette, and then shared a Scallop & Prawns Linguine (we have smaller appetites). Both were absolutely Amazing dishes! The surprise birthday dessert was very much appreciated and delicious! We would say the cost is average for Vancouver restaurant dining. This is not a fast food restaurant, but chef prepared and is reflected in the presentation and taste! We will be back when we visit again!”

Huge variety of Canadian beers which I found to be more flavorful than American beers. Unbeatable service and hospitality from the manager to the hostess and everyone in between. “Wow, we had a great time at Gary’s tonight. Second time at the restaurant (lat time was during the rugby seven’s weekend - an exciting time in Vancouver) - first time sitting at the bar (tonight) The kitchen was great to watch, my favourite moment was when two of the cooks bumped shoulders and they took a moment to pause and acknowledge (so great to see such a fantastic team working together). The food was incredible and we really appreciated the table menu with an addition of the foie gras to the night. But this story begins in 2007 when we watched World Cup rugby on a patio in Toulouse France when we had our first Fois Gras. The fois gras was just as good as our first experience - thank you kitchen! Thank you to all the staff but especially to Tina who provided some incredible pairings for the meal!”

“This is my daughter's favorite place. We came over after the JFL show where she crushed it on stage. They were packed and managed to fit us in once I told them the exciting story. Everything about this place feels like a warm hug. If you can get a reso, RUN, don't walk there. YUM!”

“Where do I even begin. This experience was just that…an experience. Every single detail of our meal was meticulously thought out and considered. Chef Lee loves his craft and his passion for quality shows. From the moment you walk through the door it’s clear the night is one to remember.

Lee’s also assisted by his wonderful wife only making the experience that much better. It felt more like we’ve been invited to dinner at their home than at a restaurant.

Every ingredient, plate, cup and detail imaginable was carefully selected. You’re truly paying to watch someone prepare food they love and it last felt in each bite.

I haven’t left this wow’s after a meal in a long time and the recognition chef Lee and his team have gotten is well deserved.

We’ll definitely be returning again as the season changes to experience this again…CANT WAIT!!!”

“We went for lunch on a weekday with reservation beforehand. This place is very popular and with limited seating so reservation is a must. We tried quite a number of dishes and each was a very pleasant surprise. The Tum Pia Ra salad was very refreshing we ordered it non spicy as my daughter tried the regular one before and she felt it the spiciness was overwhelming. The crispy pork toast I will highly recommended. Then the Tom Yum soup was so good is another must try. We ordered the soup only with mild spiciness but I think next time we would go for the regular spiciness. Pad See Ew was also very good but last but not least and my most favourite dish of the day was the mango sticky rice dessert. You have to try it cos it's hard to describe in words to do it justice.”

The starters of gobi and momos were just average however the mains of seafood curry, lamb bhuna, rice and garlic naan were fantastic. Such good flavours and good plentiful portions. Loved the decor as well, and it was cozy and a beautiful space. Would definitely recommend and will be back. I live a block away so it's a no brainer should we have an Indian food craving. “The first thing that hit me was how clean the venue was. The staff was very friendly. We chose the prix fixe. The steak was one of the best I’ve tasted because there were no tough bits at all and the sauce was SO good. The side salad was well balanced. I am GF so I asked for veggies on the side and they gave me these grilled mushrooms that were very addictive. The cocktails were delicious and my husband’s wine was so good.”
