The food is simple in the best way: burgers, fries, tenders, loaded fries, and the kind of stuff you want when you’re hungry and don’t feel like overthinking it. I like that it has more of a neighborhood feel instead of trying too hard to be trendy. The portions are solid, the menu has good options, and it feels like a place that cares about putting out fresh food. Definitely worth stopping by if you’re in the area and want a real burger.”

The wax beans were a standout - snappy and bright with serrano chile, toasted hazelnuts, and a tangy Frenchie vinaigrette. The garden lettuces were crisp and well dressed with radish vinaigrette, fresh dill, walnuts, and shallots. Good vibe, happy staff, great mix of flavors. The orange wine pairing tied it all together. “Tonight we, my husband and I, with our dear friends, the Crays, dined at Tomat for the first of what will be many times. The restaurant features a dining room and a roof top patio. A welcoming, comfortable space. The staff were all friendly and very knowledgeable about all menu items. Our server Miley took excellent care of us throughout dinner and dessert. She assisted us with choosing items that would pair well with each other. She was never too busy to stop to see if everything was to our liking. She brought the chef to our table so we could let him know personally how much we enjoyed his creations. He gave us a bit of background on his plan of sustainability and creativity for his restaurant. The food was amazing. We had several appetizers. The tuna carpaccio was amazing, light and dark tuna with the freshest tomatoes. The welsh rarebit was so delicious. The weiser melon with strawberry kimchi was a delicious surprise. The house milled saffron rice was amazing. Our mains did not disappoint. The trout and chips were excellent. Everyone at the table said “best trout we have ever had”. The vegetable chips were outstanding. The vaca vieja ribeye was perfectly cooked. The pork three ways with chamoy was also perfectly cooked. Dessert was madelines, warm from the oven, with the strawberry sorbet and the saffron ice cream. All were outstanding. Overall, this was a fabulous dining experience. Great food with great service in such a comfortable atmosphere. And, we have already made reservations for next month!”

“The signature dish is the crab in sauce, which comes in medium and large sizes. medium is two crabs with two bowls of rice, and large is three crabs. Compared with other Korean restaurants, the sauce crab taste is mild, and it will not be salty enough to explode in the middle of the meal and cannot continue to eat. The crab is fresh, not fishy, and the meat is firm, not squishy. The crab meat is also very full, the crab legs are full, there is no empty shell crab. The sea urchin rice is a little smaller but the sea urchin is enough. regular sea urchins are not particularly sweet, but they are fresh and worth the price. The sea urchin Rice bowl combo will be served with steamed eggs, runny eggs and two prawns in sauce. Raw marinated salmon rice is amazing to me. The salmon is marinated just enough to be flavorful, but not overly salty. The portions are generous. You can eat two bites of each piece of salmon.”

Oh my gosh, it was divine! The uni was so fresh and creamy and the pasta itself was cooked just right. Every bite was an explosion of flavor. We also tried the baked lasagna and it was delightful. The layers were perfectly balanced and each bite was full of rich, savory flavors. Let's not forget dessert! We shared a few different things and they were all great. The tiramisu was fluffy and decadent and the chocolate mousse was rich and smooth. Overall, Angelini Osteria is definitely a must-try for Italian food lovers in Los Angeles. The food was excellent, and to top it off, they even served complimentary kheer, which was such a thoughtful gesture. What stood out the most to me, though, was the hospitality. The staff was genuinely kind and attentive, and one of the owners personally came over to check if everything was good and whether I was enjoying the meal.
Good food is memorable, but genuine hospitality is what truly makes a place special — and Roots absolutely excelled at that. Highly recommend this place to anyone looking for not just great Indian food, but also an incredibly warm dining experience.”

“Their spicy beef and leek soup was really not that good. That beef was super tough and the soup was incredibly spicy even after I’ve asked the man in the back for it to be little spicy as possible. Their other soup won gi tang was amazing, packed with plenty of beef and it wasn’t too salty. Their big soup plate won gi soo yook was really great too! The two servers in the front were super nice and the welcoming. Very nice atmosphere and we got seated right away and served with water.”
“Delicious and fast tacos. The restaurant knows what they are doing. The lines moved so fast and I got me food within 5 minutes. They have complementary potatoes which is awesome since they help with the spicy of the spicy salsas. They also have a self serve salsa and topping bar which is my favorite so I can generously garnish and drench my tacos in salsas. We realized this was a really popular spot in this area because it was already 12 am and this place was still really packed. Really delicious and authentic tacos, will definitely come back again.”

Friendly in that effortless, genuine way that makes you feel like a regular even if it’s your first time through the door. It’s hands-down a better option than Denny’s or IHOP — better food, better service, and none of that “sad pancake at 2 a.m.” energy. It’s the kind of diner that actually feels alive. My only gripe? Pepsi products. I get it, contracts are contracts, but I’m a Coke person and this one hurts a little. Still, when the bacon’s this good and the coffee keeps coming, it’s hard to stay mad for long. The ice cream was an absolute hit at our wedding. Throughout the night, guests kept coming back for more, talking about their favorite flavors, and raving about how fun and unexpected it was. There's something about a beautiful ice cream station that instantly brings out everyone's inner child, and Ice Cream Occasions delivered that experience.
They arrived knowing exactly what to do, where to set up, how to operate within the flow of the event, and how to serve guests efficiently. As an event professional myself, I notice when vendors require hand-holding versus when they can truly operate independently, and Ice Cream Occasions was the latter. Once they arrived, I had complete confidence that everything was handled.
To make things even more impressive, I booked them only a few days before my wedding. Despite the short timeline, their team was accommodating, responsive, and willing to customize toppings specifically for us. They never made us feel rushed or like our request was an inconvenience. Instead, they jumped in and helped make it happen.
The combination of incredible ice cream, execution and outstanding customer service made them one of the easiest and best vendor decisions we made.

Next, I’m not a fan of blueberry and prefer strawberry but the worker said it’s pretty good so I gave it a try and I’m so glad I did. I got a plain bagel with blueberry smear and it was delicious. It didn’t taste like blueberry too much. I really liked it.”

The service was absolutely impeccable ... the staff are all so personable and helped accentuate the overall experience. And the atmosphere/setting was truly unique.
I've eaten at numerous Michelin star restaurants in my life, including quite a few triple stars. This overall experience was among the best of my life, and was the very best for several of my guests. HIGHLY RECOMMENDED!”

This was my second visit to Sushi Kaneyoshi, and it remains incredible. The staff is so attentive they anticipate your needs before you even realize them. While the price point is high for a single meal, the quality is on a different level. As an average salaryman, I can say it's worth every cent. Kaneyoshi is a master, and I never tasted food the same since coming here.

“Villa's Tacos were amazing! and I'm not saying this just because of the hype of the Super Bowl. I'm saying this because I mean it. The tacos were just amazing to me. Not your regular everywhere tacos. These tacos were homemade recipes. I had the carne asada, pork with potato (puerco con papa) & beans with cactus (frijoles con nopal). It's a week later that I tried these tacos and I can't stop talking about them. My favorite was the beans with cactus. Soooo good. Also, the atmosphere was just so nice and lively. I truly enjoyed every minute of my visit here. Thank you Villa's Tacos, we will return.”

You order at the front and then get a seat. They don’t do reservations so best to come with a small group of 2-3. Highlights on the menu for us we’re the French Toast and Pork Belly Rice. The French Toast was sweet with a crispy outside and fluffy inside. Overall, great place with good prices and would come back!”

A welcoming, comfortable space. The staff were all friendly and very knowledgeable about all menu items. Our server Miley took excellent care of us throughout dinner and dessert. She assisted us with choosing items that would pair well with each other. She was never too busy to stop to see if everything was to our liking. She brought the chef to our table so we could let him know personally how much we enjoyed his creations. He gave us a bit of background on his plan of sustainability and creativity for his restaurant. The food was amazing. We had several appetizers. The tuna carpaccio was amazing, light and dark tuna with the freshest tomatoes. The welsh rarebit was so delicious. The weiser melon with strawberry kimchi was a delicious surprise. The house milled saffron rice was amazing. Our mains did not disappoint. The trout and chips were excellent. Everyone at the table said “best trout we have ever had”. The vegetable chips were outstanding. The vaca vieja ribeye was perfectly cooked. The pork three ways with chamoy was also perfectly cooked. Dessert was madelines, warm from the oven, with the strawberry sorbet and the saffron ice cream. All were outstanding. Overall, this was a fabulous dining experience. Great food with great service in such a comfortable atmosphere. And, we have already made reservations for next month!”

“Another ktown classic which I’m so glad I finally got to try. Sul lung tang is such a comforting dish for me with the warm hearty soup. I got the mixed which came with brisket, flank, intestine, tripe, tongue etc, although you can customize it however you want. I topped mine with a generous helping of spring onion, seasoned with salt and paper, poured in my bowl of rice and proceeded to slurp the bowl till I could lick the bottom. “Everything was great but the music. They only played Country music— it was really confusing. I understand in Brazil country music is very popular but that is discounting that there really isn’t an established market for country music in Brazil (or at the very least not as established as here in the U.S.) while I can appreciate the cultural difference in playing only country music I think some contextual awareness would go a long way. If I’m coming to a BRAZILIAN steakhouse at the Beverly Center, some Brazilian music is would be far more appreciated than Country music. Not to dismiss the cultural significance this music may have in Brazil, but if I want to hear Country music I can find that easily. I think the bar/restaurant would really benefit from playing music that immerses LA natives (who often have little exposure to Brazilian music) in the music of Brazil than any benefit that can be derived from a Brazilian Restaurant playing Country music.”

We usually pick apart dining experiences and end up disappointed. (Could we have made this at home and could we have done it better.). This restaurant was a wonderful exception to the rule. The food was AMAZING. The fig and roasted beet starter was delicate and tasty. The ragu fettuccine was flavorful and perfectly seasoned. My husband's rib eye steak was melt in your mouth tender and grilled perfectly. We splurged and got two desserts, the chocolate mousse and the date pudding. Both were very good, though I preferred the date pudding with it's delicate caramel sauce. The service was excellent. (Kudos Lilia). The only down side was the noise level. There is sufficient space in the ceiling for sound dampening insulation. They should seriously consider installing some..”

The food was fresh, tasted great and plentiful. And I couldn't finish my meal because it was so much food. I highly recommend this place. The service was good also. I finally found my new go-to fried fish spot. Maybe I'll trying the orange roughy or lobster fried the next time. And don't forget the tartar sauce. It's off the chain, not that packaged stuff like some other places have.”

“we were visiting universal studios in LA from the UK and being 2 vegetarians, we were a bit unsure on how our hot dogs would taste. we needn't of worried. with all the toppings or without, the veggie sausage was awesome! also, being from the UK, I queried what funnel cake was to our server, as I had seen it a few times in LA. he explained and it sounded interesting, so I said if I had room afterwards, I may try it. whilst eating our meal the lovely server bought 1 over to try for free! super nice food and the staff are the icing on the cake. highly recommend for something quick and filling and reasonably priced on the universal city walk.”
