“Just completed a tour of the Central Texas Barbecue Scene. Visited Snow's BBQ-Lexington, Louie Mueller-Taylor, Kreus Market, Smitty's and Black's-Lockhart, The Salt Lick- Driftwood and Franklin's in Austin. It was great seeing the venues and the family history at these historic sites. I visited Franklin's in the past and felt it was the best brisket I had ever eaten in my life. I am a skeptic when it comes to famous barbecue joints. I must say that Franklin's BBQ was far superior to all of the restaurants I visited with no one even a close second. Aaron's attention to detail from the service, choice of briskets, the cook, the wrap, the holding and even the slicing of the final product is evident in every aspect of his trade. I was lucky enough to run into him at the restaurant and he happily talked BBQ with me. Franklin's may not have the long history of muti-generational BBQ in Central Texas, but he has figured it all out at a level that I have yet to see equaled by the best venues in the country. This is a bucket list restaurant for those who really enjoy BBQ. It is well worth the wait in line”
“The food, especially filet mignon, was absolutely to die for, and our server Nina was simply wonderful and made the whole experience just that much most fantastic”
“I reserved online for my daughter’s birthday and got into town an hour earlier and they still were able to accommodate us. At the table with the menus was a birthday card with a really nice and meaningful note on the inside. Staff, drinks, and food were amazing! Definitely recommend checking this place out.”

“Omg their tacos were so delicious!! We had the quesatacos and when we were done my husband said, “I wish we ordered more”! We got the Birria and Asada. I would recommend coming here if you are in North Austin and craving authentic and yummy tacos! 🤤”
“Excellent food and service!! Definitely the best chilaquiles in Texas. My go to place for a filling and delicious Mexican breakfast. Love love this place!”
“Blue Owl Brewing is a shining example of what it means to represent and care for your community. They make fantastic beer with a passion to share their knowledge and craft. And they are receptive to feedback and supportive in helping navigate requests for localization of their products especially in the Greater Austin area. Shop local!”
“We've been to Freddo ATX a few times now, and it has been consistently delicious each time. The staff has been very helpful. Everyone has good energy, especially Jamal! They play great tunes, too :) It is definitely becoming our go to place before attending a show at the Paramount Theatre.”
“This is hands-down, my favorite restaurant in Austin, if not honestly, the world. We come at least once if not twice a week the menu is extremely diverse in the staff are just absolutely delightful. We love Carmen, jasmine, Enrique, anola, Luis, BZ, Jacobi, and Adam. 10/10 reccommend”
“My wife and I couldn’t be happier with our meal and the service at Dai Due. Everything we had was beyond delicious and we had a kind and attentive server who was able to answer our questions and her recommendations were on point. I highly recommend this wonderful restaurant!”

“My wife and I had the best experience here for my birthday lunch, I'm so glad we chose this restaurant to eat at while in town for the Austin FC match! I can't say enough about the staff and the owner Joel who went out of his way to be extremely kind to us. Not to mention the food and drinks were so good. We'll definitely be back!”

“This is a small, cosy restaurant with a fusion of Mediterranean and Indian flavours using local, seasonal ingredients from Texas. The restaurant offers a four-course prix fixe menu with sophisticated and creative food (Time Out Worldwide) (The Texas Tasty).”
“We chose Ling Kitchen to celebrate a birthday. It was a dining experience that we will not forget. The staff were easy to communicate with and facilitate a food allergy, prior to arrival. Once you arrive, they will let you into a gated parking lot in the back. You will be greeted by the staff and shown to the front of the building where you will be received with champagne and tea. The dining room is one large family table directly in the kitchen.
The hosts will guide you through an exquisite 9 course tasting menu. The first 5 courses had a heavy seafood focus. Of these courses, the highlights were the seafood spread on top of a fried taro and the dumplings which had a delicious chicken filing accompanied by seafood. Moving on to the meat courses. The got better and better. The Peking Duck 2 ways that you turned into a bao slider was very good. The beef was cooked to perfection. It had a slightly sweet sauce, with a Thai basil pesto, and jellied fish and fried potato for texture. The main dishes concluded with our favorite of the night. It was a pork belly recipe that had been passed down through the family. The sauce was savory, salty, and sweet. The dish was accompanied by fried garlic and onions and a delicious black garlic leaf. The gold sheet on top was an added touch of elegance. The 5 small desserts that finished the meal were good, but nothing we would seek out again. This truly is one of the best dining experiences in Austin.”

“Grace, Adrian and the rest of the staff were super friendly and accommodating! Truly the best and most enjoyable experience I’ve had while ordering coffee. The Brown Sugar Miso (Iced) is a must-try! It was super delicious. The rest of my party also enjoyed their White Vanilla Misos (Hot) and their Cappuccinos as well! I highly recommend stopping by! (You won’t wait too long in line).”

“Wow this place was magical. The grounds at the Commodore Perry are just gorgeous, and the patio at Luties is the best place to enjoy them. Mondays they have all day Social Hour which mostly consists of smaller portions or value priced versions of their regular menu. Valet is offered complimentary, and they have blue cheese olives. What more could you want?!
We had a group and shared several items. The carrots stole the show though, and I would go back just for a dirty martini and carrot dish.”
“excellent dining in a great atmosphere an awesome service sampled a bunch of tasting plates from the fish tacos to the bone marrow and the oysters even had a wonderful dessert with their homemade ice cream and bananas did I say that the service was awesome top notch five stars all day definitely a place to visit in Austin”

“K.R. took such good care of us, really refreshing to have such a nice server/good service these days. Went above and beyond, definitely created a couple new regulars. Atmosphere and food was so nice, we were walking by and had no idea the restaurant was tucked back in there!”
“Wow! This place is incredible. Charlie, Nguyen, and the rest of the team are amazing hosts and incredible at their craft, no pun intended. Such a special meal! Highly recommend for anyone who loves food.”

“Eberley made the absolute best Iced Bennu with pecan flavor. I asked her what the most popular iced coffee is and voila. WOW. I am making this my new meeting spot with friends - your 2001 East MLK location. Stay great and see you all soon! PS: I am a coffee snob and when I tell you this iced coffee was amazing, well, it was (smile). Great way to kickstart the day.”
“I just visited 5 minutes ago, this place is closed down. So sad, this was a legit way to bet in Austin. I've bought powerball and loterry tickets dozens of times and I never win more money than I actually spent. However, at this location, I've actually won several times making profits of my original bets.
Whoever is responsible for closing this place down deserves the worst.”
“I have worked with Pretty Cute Coffee many times as they have catered various events for us at the University of Texas and am always pleased with their services. I appreciate their candor and attention to detail the most. Looking forward to having them cater many events in the future!”
“These are the best cookies! Not only do they look amazing, they taste great too. I highly recommend Christine for any event. She totally rocked our Safety Day cookies taking a few photos as ideas and amazed us with how well she executed exactly what we were looking for!! Can’t wait for another event to order more cookies :)”
“This was my first time ordering. The coffee machine was fast and accurate. You can order Hot or Cold, choose any kind of milk, add shots, add 2 types of Sugar and other flavors. Tip: After you complete your order you get a number, if you forget it swipe your card it will remember who you are. One of the other good features is, it will hold your coffee until you claim it. So if you have to step away, come back type in your number and Waalaa!! Your coffees waiting. I ordered a Carmel Macchiato Latte and boy😳 they did not on the EXPRESSO😣...Very 💪 Strong. But the experience was fun so..ENJOY😊”

“Came here for the first time and didn't know what to expect. There's a friendly staff here. I only came for Dubai chocolate, but I received a pleasant tasting pastry sample that led me to buy some other items as well.
I made sure to get my Dubai chocolate though, and wow - ITS DELICIOUS 😋.”
“For our 101st 'cue stop in Texas, we stopped by this food truck on a Saturday morning. It was not at all busy, in sharp contrast to several of the other outlets in the court. We laid out $43.40 to purchase 2 biscuits with brisket and smoked strawberry jam. We added hash browns to each order ( 2 wedges per order). Although the biscuit was quite dry, the brisket was well prepared, and the smoked strawberry jam a real treat. But no plastic utensils were supplied, so we ended up scooping the jam up with our fingers. Bring your own utensils with you if you choose to visit! We're glad we came, but the price point struck us as very, very high for what we received-- too high for our wallets to absorb a second time.”
“A Local Classic That Always Delivers
Sandy’s is a true staple in the city—simple, nostalgic, and always hits the spot. I usually go for a cheeseburger, fries, and a cone, and it never disappoints. Great food, quick service, and that consistency keeps me coming back”
“I don't live in Austin I live in Midland but whenever I am there this is where I would like to go I have had the brisket it's the best ever”

“We both loved our food. The person at the counter was very helpful in selecting the right dish and the food came quickly. It's authentic Mumbai food. So of you like that, you'll love the food here. We also ordered rasmalai, and you'll probably not find better rasmalai in this area. Oh and dis I mention how affordable everything is!”
“Only next level Japanese dining enthusiasts would be able to immediately recognize that they have chosen well. If you are lucky enough to discover the Happy Hour menu then you’ve hit the jackpot. Do yourself a favor and go because ain’t nobody have dry aged fish! What?!? Yes this separates Lucky Robot from the rest of the Japanese places in Austin. Put it on the bucket list folks!”
“Just made an order from here its very good!! I've already had two tacos!! I love the chorizo is like my favorite food and very good with eggs!! Excited about my other order!! Chips are also very good!! Very pleased!!! I don't always come down here but they have many good places!! I live way more north!!
I also had the chicken bowl and the chicken here is amazing and very good!! Thank you!!”
“Amazing food! Every dish we tried was DE-LICIUOS! Wait staff and hosts are lovely people. Atmosphere and vibe is warm and inviting here. My only suggestion for this restaurant is that they turn the volume down on the music. It really is WAY TOO loud. Other than that, visit often so that you can try the entire menu!”

“Parking is limited, because it is downtown Austin. However, it is definitely worth the walk. Be sure to make a reservation. The food is absolutely amazing and super fresh.”
Fine Dining
“I would like to respectfully start with; I’ve been to Uchi multiple times over the years and will never forget my first experience (which will always be the best in my mind.) That being said — tonight might have been the closest to first I’ve ever had. Chance, our server was attentive, knowledgeable, easy going, brought some of the best plates when we asked “bring us what you like/anything you think we missed” literally 12/10 would recommend. Ask for Chance, he knows his shiiiiiiii* and made our night absolutely amazing and something we will never forget!”
“Always treat us right. Retirement dinner for a friend . Was on me I chose EV. Just let them all know to ignore the construction at the entrance. Looks iffy but the drive is open from both directions on 5th and that valet service is excellent and friendly. We all had fish for some reason and it was great. Waiter was top notch.”
“An unforgettable dining experience. Chef Endo and his team provided the greatest omakase journey in Austin. Each new course complimented the previous and built a wonderful foundation of tastes from the Edo period coupled with flavorful cocktails using Japanese liquors. The chef and staff were great company, telling fun stories and laughing with all of us. I was beyond elated when he played guitar after the last course, even tremolo-picking the Happy Birthday song to my girlfriend and two others celebrating. If you love incredible gastronomic adventures and great company, you have to experience Endo.”
“I recently had the pleasure of dining at III Forks in Austin, and I must say it was an unforgettable experience from start to finish. The food was nothing short of amazing—each dish was meticulously crafted and bursting with flavor. Every bite was a delightful journey of taste, showcasing creativity and a deep passion for culinary excellence. What truly set III Forks apart, however, was the service. Our waiters not only exuded warmth and genuine hospitality but also possessed an extraordinarily impressive background knowledge of every item on the menu. Their detailed explanations and insightful recommendations made the dining experience even more enjoyable, as we felt truly connected to the story behind each dish. In an era where great service and exceptional cuisine are hard to come by, III Forks excels on every level. Whether you’re a local or just passing through Austin, this restaurant is a must-visit destination. The combination of delectable food and unparalleled service creates an ambiance that’s both inviting and sophisticated—a true testament to the culinary artistry of III Forks.”
“Amazing place. Interior is 10/10. Beautiful crystal chandeliers, a lot of small lamps on each table - very chic vibes! I tried scallops - expensive but worth it. The bread is a piece of art. The most tasty from what I ever tried in ”

“As soon as we walked into Dearest, I knew this was going to be one of my favorite bars in Austin. We’ve been frequenting similar spots throughout our decade of drinking in the city, but this place immediately felt like home. The drinks are a lot of fun, and the staff is incredibly welcoming. Zack, the manager, is the man! The ambiance is fantastic—super Texas, super Austin—with wild, eclectic decor that has its own unique vibe. There’s a hint of something a little edgy, maybe even a touch of dark humor in the design, but it all adds to the charm. The outdoor trailers with misters are a great touch, and the crowd always seems to be having a blast. It’s like hanging out in your backyard with your buddies, but with a cool, late-night twist. And let’s not forget the Mountain Dew—definitely a plus to an already super dope experience!”
“The salad bar was really nice, I enjoyed the butternut squash soup. The dessert was amazing as well as all of the cuts of meat! The service was awesome as well. Highly recommend.”
“We had party order from Sangam for our event during May 14th weekend for 3 courses (1 Lunch and 2 dinner) for about 100 people. Shiva was working with me and helped with the menu making sure none of the courses repeat any items including papad. He made suggestions based on our preferences and also guided us with the count and other details. Each of the delivery was made promptly at the requested time. The food provided was scrumptious and quantity was more than sufficient. Each of our friends were pleased with the food. Shiva - you are the best to work with and Sangam team , keep up with the amazing food and quality service you all provide. #indianfood #yummytummy #sangamchettinad”
“There are a LOT of gluten free options, and the sushi is incredible!”

“As always, for many years we’ve dined at Jeffrey’s and we are very pleased with the service and of course our food. Can’t say enough!”
“We visited "STELLA SAN JAC" during our Austin trip... and we had a great time. We tried several of the best and most inspiring cocktails we've ever tasted. Manager Edwin put us at ease with the best comfortable service, and every cocktail he recommended we were very impressed with. I will definitely recommend my friends to visit this place, I want to go back and try the cocktail again on my next business trip.”

“very very organized, amazing staff, very clean.. best Brazilian place I've ever been to”
“Vic and Al’s is something truly special. From the moment you walk through the door, you’re welcomed by an energy that feels alive…warm, inviting, and full of heart. The décor, the music, the atmosphere, every detail has been so thoughtfully created, and you can feel the love behind it all. The food is absolutely fantastic…every bite bursting with flavor and creativity. The bar menu is a mixologist’s dream. The staff was incredible — genuine, attentive, and passionate about making sure everyone feels at home. You can tell the owner has poured so much heart and soul into this place, and it shines through in every moment. Vic and Al’s isn’t just a restaurant…it’s a place where memories are made. I can’t recommend it enough! One of the highlights when I go visit my son!!”
“Excellent food and excellent service in a pretty cool building! Definitely would recommend!”
“Visited Austin for a few days and looked up a brunch spot to hit up… the name caught my attention and it did not disappoint! The kimchi hash was phenomenal! And you can never go wrong w a smoked salmon bagel! We will definitely be back when in the area! Staff was attentive, nice and the atmosphere was great! ⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️”
“Food was immaculate overall. Jess was an amazing server. Just two things I’d change. Wait to bring the bill until it’s asked, I’m sure it’s standard procedure but if I wanted to order more it shuts that down. And second, the coconut malabi needs less or no salt at all in the base, it over powered it.”
“Great place to eat. Prime rib was great and the whipped potatoes were to die for. Mocktail was good, too! Jamie was very attentive and maintained a professional presence while being personable and assured I was comfortable and taken care of throughout the meal.”
“Man, can’t say enough good things about La Volta. The drinks are on point, the pizza is delicious, and their new pastas are SO good. Also don’t sleep on the cacio e pepe arancini.”
“Totally new world of tacos! Amazing flavors, unusual combinations, super fresh ingredients and perfectly prepare. Well deserved James Beard award!”
“After waiting 13 years to make it over here, this was truly a memorable experience. We had some wonderful starters – in my opinion the famous fries need a little bit of attention to detail (the 110 min egg was perfect, béarnaise was on point) – but there were so many pleasant surprises that that was an afterthought. Cocktails were fantastic, decent wine list, and the entrees were fantastic. If they have the bananas foster beignet's definitely do not miss that, dessert stole the show. Kudos to our affable and skilled waiter, Anthony, a true pro.”
“Our favortie restuarant in Austin, we love ordering a bunch of appetizers and do that often. WE both eat gluten free so this place rocks.”
“Visiting family in Austin, we were treated to this delicious BBQ restaurant. It did not disappoint, loved the brisket, turkey, sausage, veggies, beets, and coleslaw. We'll definitely be back!”
“In order to get in, you need to download the app and make a reservation. You then will get a gate code. You have to search for the entrance although not too hard to find. Hand crafted drinks with a solid app menu. Atmosphere is a real speakeasy vibe and dark. Good date place. Would definitely go again.”
“Delicious brunch. Every dish we ordered was beyond my expectations!”
“Great food, staff, and live sports.”
“If you're looking for a venue that goes above and beyond in terms of hospitality and service, look no further. The staff here are simply incredible - they are always on hand to help, and nothing is too much trouble for them. I recently had the pleasure of performing, and I have to say that I was blown away by the level of support that the staff provided. As a DJ, it can be stressful trying to set up and sound check your equipment, but the staff made the whole process a breeze. They were so helpful and accommodating, and they went out of their way to ensure that my performance went smoothly. But it's not just the music guests who receive exceptional treatment. The staff are attentive and friendly with everyone, making sure that each and every guest feels welcome and valued. All in all, I can't recommend them highly enough. If you're looking for a venue with an outstanding team of staff who will go above and beyond to make your experience unforgettable, then look no further.”
“Food, drinks, service! Can’t beat any of it at Jack Allen’s! Our favorite spot for the past 10 years!”
“Alayna was a great waitress super fast and the best service I’ve had!”
“Amazing. Must-go location in Austin! They serve up wonderful array of drinks, especially their icy coffee - Irish and otherwise. The Dead Rabbit also does coffee in the morning starting at 7am - their tiramisu coffee is a must have. Great food- their sliders are delicious. Wonderful service in a restaurant and bar with great ambiance. The team at the Dead Rabbit is so kind, considerate and friendly. Reasonable prices for an exceptional experience.”
“This establishment is wonderful. The food is delicious. Gabriel Culiat believes the customer service is top notch. I'll definitely be back in the future”
“First time ever going to a hot pot restaurant. Our waiter Bryan was excellent. He was friendly , welcoming and Explained how everything worked and created an exceptional experience for my family and I. We will def make the drive again from New Braunfels to eat here again!!!”
“everything in life will be muted and dull until I return to Olamaie it is exceptional to the point that I have lost sense of punctuation and capitalization truly”
“Got the opportunity to experience the new menu, and it was truly incredible. The price point was right on the mark for all the amazing food we received. The flavors for everything we tried was truly unique and just utterly delicious!”
“I was impressed. Every dish we ordered was unique and bursting with flavor. The wait staff was amazing and service was fantastic. The details of each dish made this restaurant stand out. I have not been to a restaurant in a long time where I truly felt it was a unique culinary experience and you can really feel how much love the chef is pouring into each entree. Worth every penny.
Be aware that this is modern Asian food integrated with Austin flavors. If you want something traditional, this might not be for you. But, take it from me, you should give it a try with an open mind. Best food in Austin. I never leave reviews, but felt compelled to write this since it was so so so good.”
“We ate brunch for the first time here today and will be back. The churro waffles alone are worth it! Everything we had was delicious and the service was above par! Highly recommend.”
“My one year old grandson loving Daddy’s pho💕 Everything sooo tasty, especially # 49, tofu bún.”
“I ate here while in town for Afrotech! I started with the Sunomono Salad (Cucumber, green onion, crab stick, octopus, radish sprouts, sesame seeds with ponzu sauce). I then had two rolls: 1. Who’s Your Daddy? (no rice) (Deep fried crab, cooked shrimp, cream cheese with special sauce); 2. I Love Tuna (in: spicy Tuna, cucumber out: Blue fin Tuna, green onion sauce: Garlic ponzu, green onion, masago) EVERYTHING was amazingly good, the staff was very friendly, efficient, and ensured you had a great dining experience. I HIGHLY RECOMMEND!”
“Great ambience and very good sushi, especially the nigiris that the waiter recommended. Paired it with a japanese beer and a bottle of sake (which made it a bit pricey) but had an enjoyable experience overall.”
“We made a reservation for my son’s graduation party. The staff was great and the food was first class. My steak was perfect. We ordered duck and chicken. Family style plates allowed All to savor and share each dish.”

“It'd been a few years since we last visited Red Ash, but the food and the service were as excellent as we remembered! delicious small plates, sides and main pasta entrees. you really can't go wrong with any pasta dish, here. 10/10 recommend!”
“Tonight, my husband and I tried Uchiko for the first time. We had the Okamase. Everything was absolutely delicious. They put so much creativity and detail in every dish. We had a wonderful waitress. I would definitely recommend it.”
“A wonderful success.
Every time we go, what happens is this:
We make our initial order. Halfway through eating it, we know we will want more, so we make a secondary order. Halfway through that one, we again realize we want just a last bit more of this or that (or anything at all, just MORE!) and so we put in our *third* order. That's how tasty (Word to the wise: don't sleep on the potato croquette, $2.75. Each diner needs their own, and I need two.).
One does grow tired of this surfeit of overly hip brick and mortars, every place trying to outdo the last in atmospheric proximity to a southern California hotspot. Chilly waiters, navel-gazing menus and stratospheric prices.
In contrast, Uroko is a simple walk up, but the food is as good as any of those places, and the atmosphere is nice enough for a casual date - without resorting to a dusty-dine at one of Austin's fecund food trailer parks. It is super fresh, super delicious, super affordable and accessible Japanese food. It's one of my top favorite places in town.
Vegetarian options: Potato croquettes, miso soup, chili garlic edamame, tofu salad, seaweed salad, cucumber salad, Veg Harumaki, avocado hand roll, pickle hand roll, flower & veg hand roll”
“Delicious food! We ate on the patio and everything was delicious. 10/10 recommend. Their meatballs in my main course were some of the best I have ever had!”
“El ambiente es super familiar,el trato excelente y la comida es una delicia, muy sastisfecho de verdad!!!”
“I celebrated my birthday here tonight, first time guests and it was amazing. Jacob was an outstanding employee and he made the evening amazing. The manager seemed to genuinely care about our experience, talked about the menu and events coming up at the restaurant. Every dish we got was amazing as well as the basil/whiskey cocktail. I can't wait to go back and get more dishes. This place is a must try!”
“Wow que comida!!!! Deliciosa, diferente. Servicio único, limpio, impecable DE LO MEJOR!!!”
“Great place, brought my wife for our anniversary and we really enjoyed ourselves. I reserved seating next to the balcony and had an amazing view of downtown Austin. The staff had really great customer service and service was quick and we received our drinks and food in a timely manner and not to mention they have us a complementary glass of champagne for the both of us. I recommend this place and will be returning.”
“Stopped by for the first time today when visiting ATX! Everything was so good, my kids loved the tacos, I had Ceviche Tostadas, and my husband had the rice bowl. SO freaking good! Our beers were awesome too. Calm atmosphere and friendly staff!”
“Everything was on point! John, or server, took great care of us. The food and beverages were outstanding. The ambience was warm and enviting. We'll definitely be back!”
“First timer here! Everything was fabulous! From the staff to the atmosphere everything was so good. It’s on the pricey side, but we had a great time and I’d come back!”
“We eat here at least every other week. The food is fresh and always cooked well and the service is top notch. You can’t trust just anyone with seafood but you can trust Salt Traders.”
“Wonderful establishment. Food is great . Gabriel Culiat will definitely recommend them to family and friends”

“I am brokenhearted, my favorite pizza restaurant is CLOSED. I did not even get a chance to say adios to my friends of 20+ years .... No warning just CLOSED..... The Black Lady who waited tables here for years had a heart of GOLD.The Pizza Chef was always excellent . I wish I could contact these fine, outstanding folks for one last TIP....”
“The food was good and the presentation was clean and creative. The sashimi and nigiri pieces were quite large—I ended up cutting them into bite-sized pieces with my chopsticks. The handrolls were a good size and easy to eat. The menu doesn’t offer much variety, but now I know: if I want more options, I’ll just go elsewhere. Still, a solid spot if you know what to expect.”
“Senorita Rosa thank you for making us feel like we were back home in El Paso TX. I highly recommend you give it a try food was so good we even forgot to take pictures.(oops). Hand made tortillas yummy. Give them a try you won't be disappointed. Thank you Rosa will be back soon. ( Dios la bendiga).”

“Tex-Mex restraunt with beautiful views on a tiered patio outside deck overlooking lake Travis. This is not your typical restraunt. The restrauant is on a campus of adventure. Be ready to take plenty of photos, starting in the courtyard prior to entering the bldg. The food is amazing. They have a lot of Tex-Mexican food options. Bring an appetite. We ordered a burger and fry. Also an order of chips and salsa. They serve really good deserts as well. The water came in souvenir cups. There are some alchoholic beverages that also come in a souvenier plastic glass. There is also a souvenir shop. They have several dishes to choose from. There is a full bar with a variety of drinks. There is usually a wait for a table but you dont have to wait too long and you can walk around or have a drink while you wait. There was a live band. The patio had the best sunset view. Even though it's romantic for dates, anniversaries, birthdays, retirement, any milestone or event. This is also a kid friendly restaurant. There were a lot of families. My husband of 18 years brought me here once every year to watch a sunset since 2010. If you are looking for a recommendation for a weekend getaway destination, this is it. Anniversary, girls trip, birthday trip, just because, Austin TX is beautiful and the Oasis on Lake Travis should be on everyone's bucket list. Before you go Google what time the sunset then go to The Oasis on Lake Travis a few hours earlier. This is definitely an experience to remember!! I absolutely love this place! “This place was excellent! I had a boozy salted caramel Iced coffee that was amazing. The cinnamon roll french toast was delicious with fresh fruit and an ooey gooey drizzle. The Floridian omelette was rich and full of flavor. The grits were so creamy, I requested some cheese on top but it honestly didn't need any. the Bacqueza Omelette was savory and smokey with just enough spice and creaminess from the cream cheese. Our server Isaiah was polite and provided us great service. The only issue we had was how rude and uninterested the hostess was.”
“I recently celebrated a special occasion with a party of 10 at Steiner Ranch Steakhouse. From the moment we arrived, the service was impeccable. Our waiter, William, was incredible—attentive, friendly, and knowledgeable about the menu. He made sure we had everything we needed and went above and beyond to ensure our dining experience was top-notch. The food was nothing short of spectacular. Each entree was cooked to perfection; I had the Steak Diana and my husband had the Fried Elk and both of our entrees were incredibly delicious. We also had several of their appetizers and desserts, all were delicious. We were also pleasantly surprised by how quickly our meals arrived—only about 30 minutes after we ordered for a party of 10 on a Friday night! The large portions were more than enough to satisfy everyone, and I don’t think a single person at our table managed to finish their plate. Even though we couldn’t see Lake Travis due to it being late at night, the low lighting of the restaurant created a warm and intimate atmosphere. Their menus were easy to read, even in the low lighting, as they light up upon being opened. We were seated at the back of the restaurant and the floor-to-ceiling windows showcased the stunning lights of the Hill Country. We had a reservation for 7 PM and were seated right on time, which is always appreciated. Steiner Ranch Steakhouse has definitely earned its five stars, and I can’t wait to return for another amazing meal. Highly recommend!”
“Kimber was our server and she was absolutely amazing! This was my first time in Austin, and she went above and beyond with great recommendations that made our visit even better. Her energy was so warm and welcoming — she made us feel right at home. If you get the chance, definitely ask for Kimber!”
“Place is great! It’s consistent with the service, food and atmosphere. Every single family and friend we’ve gathered with absolutely LOVES this restaurant. We have been coming here for years and the tourists that feel it’s a “tourist trap” need to understand what type of restaurant they are walking into- local, great food, service and family owned. Knockout martini is amazing, Bob Armstrong dip is unbeatable. The burritos and beef fajitas are the best by far. We will continue to support Austin’s favorite Tex mex restaurant and clearly the people that matter will too.”

“One of the best sandwiches I’ve had in Austin but my experience has been inconsistent on taste. The second one had a lot more mortadella which threw off the balance of flavors to me compared to my first visit which was near perfect. The meats on this are very high quality from Olympia provisions. Home slice is still the traditional winner, but if you want a fun take or something different these guys understand sandwiches and it’s surely one of Austin’s best!”
“The place is really nice and has a fancy atmosphere. The food was good overall — the chicken liver was excellent, and the Wagyu with nyoki was great. I wasn’t a fan of the fries or the chicken wings.
One downside was the long wait for the main courses. While the starters arrived fairly quickly, within 5–10 minutes of ordering, we had to wait much longer for the mains. We ordered two rounds of main dishes, and for the first round, we waited about 30 minutes or more, even though the restaurant wasn’t particularly crowded.”
“Best beef ribs in Texas! Don't forget to get the beans.”
