Carl's Jr and Hardee's Create Baby Back Rib Burger Using Only Bubba's-Q Boneless Ribs

Hardee's and Carl's Jr recently announced its newest concoction - Baby Back Rib Burger.

The burger features boneless, charbroiled baby back ribs that have been dipped in Cattleman's Original BBQ Sauce, topped with pickles and crispy onion strings. The sandwich comes complete with a brioche-style bun.

It became available for purchase April 26.

The burger uses only Bubba's-Q Boneless Ribs, which is an Ohio-based restaurant that Al "Bubba" Baker, a former Detroit Lions football star, owns and operates. The restaurant gained national attention after it appeared in a 2013 episode of Shark Tank with Daymon John making a deal with Bubba with investing.

Baker said when he began the restaurant, he never thought he'd be the official rib supplier for two of the nation's most popular fast-food chains. He said he was just happy to offer great ribs to the citizens in Avon, Ohio. Baker said he's lucky that the products have spread as far and wide as they have thanks to online orders. He said it's amazing that Hardee's and Carl's Jr is using his ribs to be a part of the American burger.

Prices for the Baby Back Rib Burger will vary by location, with three choices to choose from - single patty burger, double patty burger and 100% Black Angus Beef Thickburger.
