Valley Center Sees Recent Addition To Restaurant Lineup

Two new Mexican restaurants have opened up in Valley Center - Las Trojas and Rene's Two.

Las Trojas took over the location where Barroco Mexican Grill once was for a short time. It's not a very visible location, sitting along Maize Road behind Dillons. Diego Avilas is the restaurant's owner. He, along with his brother-in-law, is the one that opened the Tequila's Mexican Grill in 2013

Las Trojas menu includes lunch and dinner specials like burritos, tacos, quesadillas, enchiladas, etc.

The restaurant is open from 11 a.m. to 9 p.m. Sunday through Thursday and 11 a.m. to 10 p.m. on Friday and Saturday.

The Rene's Two restaurant can be found in the Old Dairy Queen building along Tyler and Central. It offers the same menu the 24-hour Rene's along I-235 and Central has. The new restaurant is only opened from 8 a.m. to 10 p.m. Monday through Saturday and from 8 a.m. to 8 p.m. on Sundays.
