“I’ve had weekend breakfast here twice and it was perfect both times. Servers and kitchen staff are both amazing. Bloody and mimosa bars and the breakfast burrito is the best I’ve had. On top of all this, it is reasonably priced!”
“It was a late lunch for me so it was very quiet. I ordered a simple cheese pizza and a small side salad. Nothing complicated, just a good ole pizza that only took about 10 ”
“Coffee with Pips visited Emperor's Kitchen on April 16th, 2024 This restaurant is located on the second level of an above-average retail space. The big windows overlook a large parking lot surrounded by several upscale businesses, including Kopp's Frozen Custard, which is a must-go place when visiting Wisconsin. We were seated immediately at a clean table, nothing fancy, however, there was ample room to dine, unlike some restaurants. The decor wasn't anything special, however not distracting either. Only minutes after we were seated, our waitress acknowledged our presence and was very kind. We had a little time to study the menu, and we were very pleased with the selection, the menu was basic, but it did offer a nice selection of items. I ordered the Sesame Chicken Sesame Chicken which is a dish commonly found in Chinese restaurants throughout the United States and Canada. My assistant ordered the Beef Chop Suey, which she appeared to enjoy very much. The Sesame Chicken was absolutely out of this world, not bad at all, I enjoyed the tender pieces of battered chicken coated in sweet sauce and tossed in sesame seeds. The portions were huge, definitely enough for two meals... guess what I'm having for dinner tomorrow? We both ordered a Diet Coke, however, beware... this tasted more like seltzer, not like Diet Coke at all, and at $4.50 each, the small glasses of what was said to be Diet Coke were a disappointment, to say the least. We mentioned this and were told, "Hmmm don't know what could be wrong with it." Because of the high cost of our drinks, and no real concern shown by the staff, is the reason why Emperor's Kitchen earned a 4.5-star rating instead of 5 stars which they would've received if they had taken these drinks off the check. Don't get me wrong, Emperor's Kitchen is a 1-restaurant operation, and we applaud small businesses that struggle to stay in business, but it's the little things that customers remember, and some may be turned off by, resulting in negative feedback. Taking the drinks off the check would have been the right thing to do. But overall, our meals were well worth it, and no complaints, other than the seltzer water we were served. I will definitely visit Emperor's Kitchen again, and I highly recommend this restaurant, minus the sodas, stick with the free water. “Really impressive food, quiet delightful and incredible helpful waitress who guided us to some really unique options on the menu”
“Outstanding service, the most delicious and high quality food and absolutely beautiful presentation.Thank you so much for making our event so special!!!!”
“First time eating here. They've really poured heart and soul into the building. Vintage Danes Hall restored to it's glory. Food was good and well portioned. We ate the entire meal including dessert and weren't hungry or over full after. A little pricy for what we got, that's why it's 4 not 5 stars. But it was the special Valentine's Day menu, so maybe that had something to do with the price. I think it's going to be a good replacement for TW Martins Public House that Waupaca lost after the pandemic. Similar but different enough to be it's own thing. We'll be going back to sample more of their regular menu. Maybe a Friday fish night? They have crab cakes...”
“We ate there Saturday night. I'll start by saying that there were some minor issues with food coming out of the kitchen in a timely manner. Without asking the manager comped us half our bill. He was very professional about it stating that the service was not up to his standards.Beyond the timing issues, the staff was prompt and professional. The drinks were outstanding and the food was very good. We also liked the space. It is intimate with lots of windows. We expect going back soon.”
“Great food and nice atmosphere. Really gives you an Irish feel with all the design choices. Loved the fish and chips and tater tot nachos.”
“They are the BEST catering company in Maine for lobster bakes and clam bakes. They accommodated all my guests' dietary restrictions including a vegan option, while I got to sit back and relax. I would highly recommend this small business based out of Portland, Maine for all catering occasions.”
“This is a must-do! Ben was an amazing bartender/mixologist. He was knowledgeable on the distillation process, flavor profiles, and unique features of each of the liquors made here. No matter if you like sweet or spirit-forward drinks, they are all available. Don’t be fooled when they say honey spirits, the liquors aren’t sweet on their own. The spirits taste the same as other spirits straight up. The main difference for me was the spirits here are more refined, smooth, and flavorful. I’ll definitely be stopping by every time I’m on the Big Island!”
“Underrated GEM! How lucky am I to have found this place? Mediterranean food is growing on me and I crave it so often now. Finding this place is a game changer! While I wasn't expecting a place like this to have $25 menu items, it's totally worth it! We got the grilled lamb chops for $25 which is a bit pricey but believe me when I tell you it's worth it! While waiting for our takeout, we chatted up the nice lad at the counter who was kind enough to tell us more about the neighborhood and what there is to do out here. Place is small and basic, i would likely order for takeout than dine in.”
“Had our first experience with Sam's Pizza, very pleasantly surprised, very good pizza. Both were tasty, hot and made as ordered. Better than any chain delivery pizza place. It would have been a 5/5 except both pizzas we ordered were severely lacking sauce. Sam, your pizzas need more sauce, correct this and you will get 5/5 every time.”
“The food was very good and the restaurant was very lively. It's much more of a family oriented restaurant than I realized. I would go back with kids but probably not just with adults. It was very loud so not ideal for quiet conversation. But if you're looking for a lively family friendly restaurant, this would be a great option!”
“We were just here tonight and the service and food were outstanding! If you are in the area, stop in, you will enjoy it…music is a bonus!”

“Delicious food! My friends and I came here for the Bachelor finale on a Monday night and they had it on all the tvs plus a large projector in the back room which was great! PROS: 1. Best mozzarella sticks I've ever had, each stick had a nice thick piece of mozzarella, they were crispy, marinara dipping sauce was tasty as well 2. Delicious chicken tenders, classic diner style, wide and flat pieces of chicken, crispy, just how I like em! 3. Large projector screen in the back room with speakers, we had no problem seeing or hearing the Bachelor! CONS: 1. The service was pretty slow, it seemed like there was only one server there who was also the bartender but since this was on a Monday night, it's probably not usually as busy as it was when I went Besides the food I mentioned, we also had the garlic/butter pretzel with beer cheese and mustard which I enjoyed but the rest of my group found that the cheese was weird and not typical beer cheese. We also got Mac and cheese balls which I didn't try so can't comment and for dessert we had the smores brownie which was basic, I probably wouldn't get it again. Overall, I definitely want to come back, it's only been one day and I'm already craving the chicken fingers and mozz sticks”
“A great place to eat. Variety of foods! I can’t even tried all! There are hotpot, sushi, ramen, bbq, seafoods, ice cream, desserts, etc. The bubble teas are also included in the buffet. I like the melon bubble tea.”
“10/10! I couldn’t be happier to have Cava in Chicago! I always crave it when I’m in Arizona so this is such a treat. I came for the soft opening and the staff was amazing - so kind, welcoming, and quick. My only issue is that I literally like everything on the menu so it’s sooo hard to choose! I ended up creating my own chicken bowl with protein rice and arugula. All the different spreads and dressings are soooo tasty, you can’t go wrong. Whenever I’m in Wicker Park, this will be my first choice for a fast casual restaurant. The food is healthy and fresh and the vibes are right! PLEASE come up north to Lakeview/Lincoln Park! ?”
“Recently visited Guatemala and wanted to try pollo Campero. Food was great and did not disappoint! Service is excellent but just make sure to double check your order.”
“Enjoyed the breakfast skillet with fresh fruit. The avocado toast with poached eggs was also delicious. Our service was great. The hotel has been beautifully renovated. Received complimentary valet with restaurant receipt.”
“This place is one of a kind! I’ve never had an experience like this one! Chef Johnny and Kasie have absolutely nailed it with this concept! This food makes me wish that I lived in Denver!!! Will be back whenever I’m in town! Thanks for the unforgettable experience!!!”
“Pork belly bao were delicious! Prices are a bit high, especially for the menu items that are lighter fare (as in volume). I chose fresh rolls the next time - they were good, but overly packed with rice noodles, and a soy/vinegar/chili dipping sauce would go great with the freshness, instead of straight up hoisin sauce. Looking forward to the newly opened business working out kinks, adjusting menu/pricing as the stronger menu items become apparent. So much potential for a takeout spot with select hero items.”
“Food was amazing and service was impeccable. I don’t know the lady name but she suggested this new sesame sauce and it was amazing. Just about every meal is under $15 but I ordered the veggie plate and it was reasonably priced for a decent amount.Vegetarian options: Veggie plate and Veggie Bowl”
“Today was my first day here. I am definitely coming back. Food was delicious! So proud of this Ecuadorian restaurant in Miami. I had the opportunity to even meet the owner. Congratulations Josue!”
“Great bingsu and bubbletea. I see that they have different art events like Neon paint night and clay art. The place is so cool, so I will return for some of those interactive events.”
“We hired Gastrolove-Private chefs for my Dad's 70th birthday celebration. It was a wonderful experience and meal, the highlight of everyone's trip, and something my Dad will not soon forget. He said it was the best duck he has ever had and we will be raving about the purple potatoes, along with everything else, for many years to come. Devin and Kevin are an amazing duo that made the whole process enjoyable from the planning process at the beginning to the 5 star gourmet meal, to the clean up at the end. Our vacation house was a little outside of their travel area and they were able to accommodate us with no problem. I would highly recommend them to anyone looking for the best meal and experience of their life.”
“I went to Kura on the first day they were open. I've previously visited their Fort Lee NJ location.I got there 15 mins before they opened and waited 1 hour for a table. The staff was doing their best to manage the large crowd. You check in via a tablet and they text you when your table is ready. The system was a little glitchy.Once inside, we received good service and ate some good food. I was impressed at how well things were going considering it was the first day of business. For those of you who have never been to a restaurant like this, you order food and drinks from a tablet on at your table. Sushi, rolls and other dishes go past you on a conveyor belt. Each dish is the same cost. When you are done with the dish, you put it into a slot at the table which counts how many you had.You can get a prize for having certain number of dishes. The prizes are pretty cheap and not worth it, but I was there for the food. The tables can fit 4 people. Its not a good place for a large group. There is a section for single diners if you are just one or two people.Note that as of April 22, 2024, the parking area is under construction.I recommend signing up for their app to get the rewards points and to manage your waitlist time.Kid-friendliness: Lots of kid friendly dishes that you can order off the menu”
“Just went in to try the vegan chocolate chip cookie! Really cute spot in a hot location, cute neon signs. Staff was super friendly!!They only had 2 options for vegan ice cream and only 1 vegan cookie. It was good, but really thin. Not much else to say about it!”
“Opening weekend was fire Andrea was amazing with suggestions and supporting us in taking all the pics as we're all huge LVP fans. We tried so many things and honestly no surprise the goat cheese balls continue to reign supreme Cocktail game is as strong as ever. Big bad wolf and Cry Wolf are just stunning and delicious cocktails. Also don't forget the shotski and howl at the end. Last but certainly not least every single detail of this space from entry to departure is just elegance and well thought out. We already can't wait to return and bring more people to this space.”
“We had a HUGE group on Saturday 4.20.2024. We were all at one end of the bar and Shaun seemed to be able to keep up with the movement of folks and separate orders. The DOO seemed to have a great handle on the place, but I will say this. Lead from the pull, not from the push. If you see something that needs to be done, don't call out the bartender. Do it yourself and then make it a teachable moment. I was impressed that the DOO was well aware of what was going on and took time to talk to us. Great food, B- service, but overall everyone had fun.”

“This past Tuesday between 3 and 5 PM I went to the Kenzies on Bridge Street to get my regular drink which is a 32 ounce seabreeze blended with whipped cream and extra Mojito but it was flavorless and tasted mostly like water blended with ice and I even asked them to just add more flavoring because usually it’s great and on point but the workers That you had working there didn’t seem to know what they were doing an acted like it was an inconvenience to help a customer out even though they did remake my drink, but the remade drink was just as bad as the first one and your regulars there know how to make the Seabreeze the way I like, but the new workers you have working are in need of some extensive training on how to make your Red Bull blast drinks and customer service”
“Been coming for years and coming back for years! Best sushi place in town! Everything is good while we enjoy the tempura and salad because of the sumptuous dressing. Whether you're craving oxtails, irresistible jerk chicken, or hmmmmm... theeeee honey-glazed salmon that's seasoned to perfection, Cookerz Blend delivers every time! Ha, there's more, you should taste their rasta pasta, it's so divine... heavenly! “The fella who’s always behind the counter (I assume he’s the owner) is just the best, he’s a super hard worker and everything is always quality. It’s also super affordable, not Park Slope prices. I very much appreciate a solid NY deli that isn’t outrageously priced.”

Rock N Roll Sushi, the restaurant chain known for its fun, rockin' American-style sushi experience, is kicking off 2024 with some big moves. The brand is continuing to expand out west, opening new locations in markets like Phoenix, Colorado Springs, and central Arkansas. "Our team has been hard at work — and it's paying off with truly rockin' results," said Chris Kramolis, Chief Development Officer.
The conveyor belt sushi chain Kura Revolving Sushi Bar has huge growth plans for 2024. The company just announced it will open between 13 to 14 new restaurants across the United States in its 2024 fiscal year. That would be the highest number of new locations Kura has ever opened in a single year since first coming to America back in 2009. "Our organization has demonstrated that it's more than capable of meeting that challenge year after year, and we're excited to keep delivering on that," said CEO Hajime "Jimmy" Uba.
No chicken chain is expanding quite as aggressively as Krispy Krunchy Chicken in 2024. Krispy Krunchy Chicken, which operates quick-service restaurants inside gas stations, truck stops and other retailers, just announced plans for a truly massive expansion in 2024. The brand intends to open approximately 700 brand new locations over the next year. With the 2024 expansion, Krispy Krunchy Chicken will soar past 3,500 total restaurants nationwide.
Las Vegas is set to become even smoother. The smoothie chain Smoothie King has big plans in the area. The company is more than tripling its presence by adding seven new locations across neighborhoods like Henderson, Summerlin, and Spring Valley. "We're really proud to grow in this key market and provide delicious, better-for-you smoothies to our guests in the community," said Chris Bremer, Smoothie King's Chief Development Officer. "We welcome our new franchisees and look forward to a successful partnership."
Major fast-food chains across America are racing to install more digital kiosk ordering stations - and they have a good reason. The self-service kiosks have shown their efficiency in making customers spend more money per order. "People who ordered at kiosks rather than at cashiers spent on average nearly 10% more," Shake Shack CEO Randy Garutti told investors in February. Yum! Brands, parent of Taco Bell, KFC and Pizza Hut, is also prioritizing kiosk expansions. Taco Bell has them in all U.S. stores, while KFC should have kiosks in the "vast majority" of non-China restaurants by end of 2026.
Tony Gemignani's fast-casual pizza chain Slice House is coming to Tennessee. The San Francisco-based company just signed a deal to open 11 new locations across the state, with the first ones slated to open in 2025. "We are proud to have an experienced franchise partner on-board for the long term and look forward to offering our authentic, award-winning pizza to Tennesseans," said Gemignani.
In a major beverage switchup, PepsiCo has signed a 10-year deal to become the exclusive drink provider for all Subway sandwich shops in the United States, replacing long-time partner Coca-Cola. Pepsi products like Mountain Dew soda, Gatorade drinks, Tropicana juices, and Aquafina water will start being offered at Subway's over 20,000 U.S. restaurant locations from January 1st, 2025 onwards. It will take several months to get all the Subway stores switched over.
Hawaiian Bros, the fast-casual restaurant chain dishing up island-inspired eats, has signed three major multi-unit franchise deals to open more restaurants. The new agreements will add lots of new Hawaiian Bros locations in markets like Portland, Nashville, and Las Vegas over the coming years. With its tropical style, tasty food, and growing number of locations, Hawaiian Bros is heating things up as it brings island flavors to mainland markets. The recent multi-unit franchise agreements mark a major wave of expansion for the on-the-rise brand.
Pollo Campero is going hard on expansion, with plans to open at least 25 new locations across the U.S. in 2024. This fast-growing Guatemalan chicken chain (known for its fire fried and grilled chicken, sandwiches, salads and sides) is riding high after a successful 2023. Pollo Campero expects to hit over 100 total U.S. stores by the end of this month. Minnesota and Tennessee are already on the radar for 2024 expansion.
Bojangles is bringing its famous "Southern Charm" to the Valley in a big way. The popular chicken chain announced plans to open 20 new locations in the Phoenix area. "With the consumer demand for chicken at an all-time high, there has never been a better time to be in the segment," said Jim Cannon, Bojangles' chief development officer. "Our new boneless platform has resonated strongly in each new market we enter."
